- From fighting for mom's milk to fighting over a prime territory, survival is a young lion cub's natural instinct. The lion cubs seem well protected by the pride, but their survival is not guaranteed. Kruger National Park is one of the largest game reserves on the continent It contains diverse habitats and is home to hundreds of species of animals. This abundance of animals means many predators, including Africa’s big cats.

Thé males only rôle is to protect, provide & mate when the lioness initiate it everything else is ran by the femxles they help each other raise the cubs, hunt, protect the cubs etc. The males r disposable & temporary. Unlike the femxles.
@@KD-zs8lj thé males don’t even stick w the prides they were raised in bcs their either kicked out as a young in or start competing w other males for access to other lionesses prides. The males might have family or a group of brothers they know but it’s not prides it’s just bonds.
@@KD-zs8lj thé prides like most animals species are matrilineal bcs thé thé mothers are a necessity & valuable part & source of the offsprings life unlike the males.

God bless ALL animals? Piranhas, Komodo dragons, poison stone fish, and the "Potuguese man of war?" Insects are part of "kingdom anamilia." Should God bless locusts, driver and army ants, mosquitoes, black recluse spiders, asps, bedbugs, lice, wasps, and tetse flies? How about saw-scaled vipers, death adders, tapeworms, ringworms, electric eels, constricting snakes, bloodflukes, eye worms, and ear mites? I am not trying to be ugly or sarcastic. Just realistic.

This is a great educational documentary. The video and commentary is superb.
Lioness are interesting. They are almost the deciding factor if a takeover of a pride is successful. If they get involved or not, will help decide a takeover. When the males are too old they are left behind. It is an interesting structure.
