Love your trial and error, Eric! Oh, I rhymed....lol. You remind me so much of myself when it comes to things like this! Glad I am not the only one! But, trial and error does work if you learn from your mistakes!! Good job, camera operator!
Great video. This is the first “real” video of bread baking on a grill. I’m trying it this weekend and hopefully I can get it within a few try’s too. Thanks for the upload.
What a fun experiment! And you threw me off by tasting it in your other kitchen. LOL! :-) The bread looks delicious. You guys make a good team. :-) (Dear Santa, bring Eric a camping dutch oven for Christmas this year.)
With that aluminum foil and maybe with that same grill you can make a solar oven. You only need a cristal clear lid and to check at what angle you should position your oven.
you just cooked damper. We cook it in the coals. Yep get a fire going let it burn down to coals scrap away the coals till you have a bed of white ash, pour in the mixture cover it with white ash then put coals on top.20minutes later its cooked . get it out with sticks give it a bump and it is clean and ready to eat. (ash stops sticking and just falls off.)
Strickly speaking that last attempt should have been 2.1 and you are only the second other person I have experienced using Sisyphean. I used it once, a long time ago in a Project Progress meeting and received blank stares. I bet you know how to use "caveat" as well, most people don't. They didn't either. I like "pedantic" also because that is miss used or understood. Here endeth Bread 2.1 and ancilliary bits.
its amazing how one can control heat with WORKING ventgs
Hooray for GardenFork. I can smell the bread from here.
It does smell good Mike, thx!

looks nice, but did it not rise as much as the regular no-knead bread baked in the oven?
Yes Sophie, the dough was over-proofed, it was hot out, but I wanted to see if I could bake in a Weber. Thx!
now you can try adding different items like olives or cheese, just an idea

Hi there yellow woofers
Yeah that worked out better. Now I need a bigger grill !
Good job I would eat that with some good butter and honey.

It may be to high but see if a spring form pan like you make cheese cake will work on top.
Good idea Tony! Thx for that.
When it's puppy dog approved 😉👍👍🇺🇸

The dough might be over proofed. It rose for too long. ?

I have to thank my high school senior lit teacher, Dr Hirth for that word! I also use pedantic often. Thx James.
It worked better because you had supervision from camera girl.
As in bread, as in life!
That's hawt! HAWT .....hawt!
Yeah Gary, I kept burning my hands 😀
I don't like spending all the time it takes to prep the dough and not have it turn out.
Yeah I can see that Norman, I’m still trying here. Thx,
@@gardenfork Eric, you have bread video's going back 11 years. I've been trying to make bread for as long. Why does it just not work sometimes?
It’s all in the rise, I think. Add a few tablespoons of lager beer and a few drops of red wine vinegar, adds flavor!
@@gardenfork Interesting! Will try next weekend.
