I just got my copy of Tiny Epic Pirates in from the Kickstarter and wanted to get a solo game in. In this video, I am learning to play with the solo rules for the game.

maybe the smart thing to do on merchant ships is to attack just one color, so the AI will always get 2 gold only as a reward for defeating you. If you can outsmart the AI that way i kinda don't like it, maybe i'll house rule it

I think you start off with 1 gold. The solo pirates start off the board at "0". Thank you for showing this!

22:07 you would have had 13 and be ready to bury if you had added 1 gold during set ut.

Nice playthrough! I did notice something; when AI rolls 6 it doesn't trigger any bonus actions. You only do the action on the mat with the '6' on it, so in your case the AI shouldn't have done the bonus 'crew up' action when he plundered when rolling 6.
It's not in the rules but the question is answered on BGG and has an official answer.
One other thing; after burying your 2nd treasure you started on the gold track with 1 gold. I think it should have been '0'. Maybe I missed something though.

Thanks Tim, that makes sense about the 6's and answers the question that I had about the plunder action on there twice. I think I may have gone to a bury site that was 12 gold instead of 13. I know the AI loses all of his gold, but I might have played that since I was burying 12 and had 13, that I should have 1 left. Thanks for helping with the rules!
