When I was a child both my grandmothers had several rooms in their houses we were not allowed in even though the houses were not large they were ‘kept for best’ . I always found that strange as a child that no one was allowed to use the nicest rooms .

It does 😂 I spend a lot of time looking after it but it’s a labour of love most of the time . Sometimes it can feel overwhelming but that’s why the FlyLady cleaning system is so good for me as it breaks it up into manageable chunks and makes it fun
I’m obsessed.. just one question please Kate… there’s a door next to your workout area… is that a cupboard or another beautiful room we’ve not yet seen? I do love your home, please keep the videos coming.. I love them! I’ve dipped in & out of FlyLady for about 10 years, it is a great system x
Yes it is it’s the door through into my office which is just off the kitchen . It’s only a small room but it’s cute and cosy and nice an warm in winter as it’s right next to the Aga . I’ll take you in there in my next house tour
Thank you for the visual feast! Just an idea, but I think you might benefit from having a dedicated boot room for all the coats/shoes/wellies/dog stuff/gardening bits etc. Anyway, I'm looking forward to part 3. 😁
@CleanWithKate-l4h It would be fun to see you do a Konmari style declutter where you gather all the coats, shoes, bags, etc. together in one room and declutter in one go. I was also thinking that you could convert the disused dining room near the entrance and conservatory into the boot room location and get it professionally kitted out as a bespoke boot room with the help of a carpenter. Radical, I know, but I think it might really improve the way you live in and use your home and reduce the need for organising and tidying in the future. I hope you don't mind me sharing my ideas with you. ☺️ I forgot to say, I love your conservatory and downstairs loo-they look stunning. X
We certainly do Karen . Some of our geraniums actually came with the house . We keep them quite dry over winter and we put a frost protector radiator in conservatory over winter as there is no heat in our conservatory and it’s single glazed . We lost a lot one year when we had a very cold winter d as d forgot to put the frost radiator on . They literally froze to death 😔

That's a great idea! I have way too many coats and boots need to declutter more and yes would be great 😊 idea to have a boot room .
