@@izzypark9217 i made some from socks for a child , placed the sock on its side cut a line down the sock for the wings to go through and a small cut at the bottom on top near the end for the tail to poke through my quaker dosent even bite that but when i put her flightsuit on she chews the straps off grrr..
Hi i.m from portugal and green cheek here has a different name..what size to i look for my green cheek ( cause here in portugal we have to look for the name " pyrrhura " and nothing appears for diapers....if you can tell me the size would be easier to search please...thanks
I just got one last week; the zebra print. The medium was too large for my grey cockatiel so I had to exchange for a small; that fits perfectly. I left it on the dresser by his food and water area so he could explore it. After about an hour I put it on him. He did not understand what I was doing the first time and was a little crabby about it but no bites. The second time he understood and let me do it with a little crabbing. He is 20 years old and very patient. He is a rescue, so maybe he had a suite before and that is why he is ok with it. I just set the suite open on my lap and step one foot in and bring the strap up over the wing, then step the other foot in and bring the strap up over that wing and close the back. Very simple method. All birds have different personalities. Try different methods until you find one comfortable for you bird. This was a good video for beginners. It's not easy to put on them until they understand the benefits of having it on; getting to go out exploring. Thanks for sharing.
my 2 cockatiels where not bothered 1 bit about wearing it , but my quaker has got through 4 so far she chews the straps off grrr 2 yrs later im still trying to get her to wear 1
i feel like quakers are so much more aggressive than other birds... i’ve had many different quakers as a child and my parents breed them and every single one of them has been very aggressive and very VERY one-personed
is this safe for bird's with unclipped wings? the flight suit site says this is good if the wings are clipped, otherwise get aviator harness. But I like to get this one, it is easier to put on than aviator harness.
I can't really say it would be a 100% safe in the EVENT that the velcro came off by itself. BUT what I can tell you is if you have the proper size, it is extremely hard to have the velcro come off unless you take it off. I feel very comfortable using it with my flighted birds. The size chart is accurate to decide which one to get.
I have one for my turquoise green cheek conure Luna she doesn’t love it but she knows she gets to go with us 😂 I’m getting her a aviator harness now so she can have both
It’s for flight safety and pooping. No worries, avian fashion suits should never be forced on any birdie that doesn’t like it. Only for birds that don’t mind.
Brianna Crane, Kona is a Cherry Head Conure, also known as a Red Masked Conure. All conures can have intermittent loud callings but in general Cherry Heads are fairly quiet in regards to bird screaming. We are having Kona DNA tested soon. Stay tune for if Kona is a boy or a girl!!
Thanks for the great explanation
I’m getting one for my cockatiel! Yay!
Sweeet!
@@loveyourparrot_ we're making our own because they're damn expensive when your australian. Around 51 USD - which including shipping Is $74 AUD

Karen Haid great job! It does take patience and time along with conditioning them to be familiar with the color and texture of the harness.
I got one for my little budgie, but all she does is bite it, I can't figure out how to put it on her
Ya, Ducky my Quaker is like that too. I don't try anymore as it was stressing her out. Some birds just don't take to it unfortunately.
Read Karen's comment below and try her method.
My cockatiel doesnt like me to grab h and seems scared when i do, how can i condition him so he knows its fine?
I recommend Bird Tricks to help you. Here is the video. They are fantastic. th-cam.com/video/f9NgDt1brVI/w-d-xo.html
where did you buy the suit from
I think it was Dr. Foster and Smith who is now owned by PetCo...
what do you feed quaker on seeds or pellets
I feed both natural Zupreme and a good seed mix. They are in separate bowls. Plus fresh fruits & veggies.
And natural veggies and fruits
My cockatiel likes to fly and I’m worried if he’ll fly while in the suit and lanyard. Will he get seriously hurt if so?
I would suggest a bird harness instead. Be safe and good luck dear!
Great video😊
Thank you!
that is very nice

Wish my Quaker, Ducky would get use to one, great job with your birds.

none of my other birds have been aggressive like the quakers :(

No not sure what that is....
Madam I ask where you buy the parrots dress please tell for my parrot small dress
Bird knows something is up
Lol
Please explain these birds already have the most beautiful plumage why the need to wear clothes ..?.

My bird despises it and I’ve yet to get it on. She flips out
Brieana Brown ya my quaker freaked out. Maybe try the harness instead.
Loveyourparrot Education she is harness trained but that doesn’t help with the poop on outings where it’s inappropriate to let her do her thing
@@brieanabrown2496 ah got it, can you train her to potty in a trashcan like we do? I will have a video on it soon!

What type of bird is Kona? Is she really loud at times because she looks really calm most of the time?
