    Hi Dave
The explanation is great, it is the mistake that people usually make, putting large valves and not accommodating the seat.
I would like you to make more videos about this bmw cylinder head, since they are the same ones that I usually do, to see if I am doing the job well.
Thank you very much for the time you dedicate so that the rest of us learn.
    Best regards
    goyo

A dedicated video about cut ring head gaskets vs other sealing options. How adding the copper spacer to lower compression has an effect? How do you feel about 0 ring blocks or heads? similar deal? Is there a solution to get a evenly torqued head with the cut rings? What is a alternative solution for a block like the s52 with such thin walls between the cylinders ? Thanks in advance.

Yep, common place for cracks in these. I wonder if they welded it? Would like to see more on this S52 :D

Super tech is not the best due to cracking of the valve head. Ferrea valves are much better. this is my favorite engine for overall reliability. Are you familiar with David Vizard? I’m curious how he would work this type of head..

Hey Chief, Good day, I'm a Single Cylinder Motorcycle Mechanic from Philippines, and we don't have that kind of knowledge here, Im really interested how the port properly works. Since, it is a big factor for engine power .
If its ok to answer, is there a formula to get the proper port size of the part where the intake manifold is plugged in? Or of the intake manifold?
    If it's a trade secret its ok ❤ I respect that ✨

It’s not a trade secret. I’m just not a complete believer in the formulas. But, if you look up Darrin Morgan he is a treasurer trove of all that info. Many hours of his seminars can be found or bought online.

hi would like to know what is the upside to valve spin caused by the 3 grooves like on the std valve

Triple collets are designed to let the valve rotate during use. This is good for road engines as it reduces the effects of wear on the valve seats. Single groove collets are designed to stop the valve rotating and are more suitable for high lift high rpm applications.
