Porsche is not scared. LOL Porsche's GT2 RS with MR (comparable to this aftermarket-filled Mustang in both price and concept) has already run at absolutely insane lap times - 6:38.84 YEARS ago. @BruceDragon-sf1tr if you rely on that argument then it proves my point that Ford should have done more testing before releasing the car Ford could have learned a lot from this year's 24hr of Nurburgring where the Mustang will actually be entered. Ok here is my 2 cents for what it’s worth. The GTD is heavier (especially towards the front) and gets a little heat soaked with the SC motor. The GT3 Porsche is lighter, rear engine setup and N/A (no heat soak). Because of the heavy front of the GTD it has a little more difficulty carving corners at high speed. It’s no slouch by any means but the Porsche GT3 has been in the game for a while and continues to evolve.
It just ran a sub 7. Why does it need to improve? It's never enough for you guys. A Mustang just literally became the 6th fastest streetcar in the world and y'all still ain't happy.
