That was a pleasant accolade Richard and well deserved too . Those Rostyle wheel embelishers were worn on all UK TR5's and the early '6's but not on any previous TR 's I think l've mentioned before that all "e" types with covered headlamps were series 1's however, there were a very small number of 1.25's (!) that carried the covered light's but had the later rocker switches . Thanks Richard
Re the comment left on your MX5, the whole point of classic cars is that appreciation of them is, to a great extent, subjective. I think that most people would accept that the Mk1 MX5 has become a classic. I might quibble about the later ones but, once again, it's purely subjective. The person who left the comment is clearly a bit sad and should, therefore, be ignored .I personally, am astonished that so many cars which I have owned, have become classics. I usually had them when they were on their last legs and appeared ready for the scrapyard. If only I'd known....
I agree 💯 %. I believe the trouble is, with some people, they don’t want to admit that the vehicles they grew up with, are now , 40-50 years old. They don’t want to admit that THEY,are just about “ vintage “, as well. [ I collect vintage radios. I come up against these type people quite often myself. 🚗📻🙂
I've just bought a mk 2.5 and although mechanically it's perfect it's all the annoying things that have happened in the last 12 months like a tare in the hood, hood latches not working, one window suddenly stopped working and now the radio speakers😢 me the novelty has started to wear off
I started driving when I was 17, with a 1965, 997 Ford Anglia, which I hand painted lime green LOL, then on to a Austin Cambridge, I paid more for the cassette player than I paid for the car LOL followed by my first V4,1750 Ford Corsair, next was a straight 4, 1500 Ford Corsair, then on to a 1961 Ford Consul 375, followed by a 2.0, V4 MK4 Ford Consul, followed by a 3.0 litre V6 MK1 Ford Granada GXL, it had green sundim windows fitted, a fine car indeed, and the first car I drove at 100mph, + lots of more cars since
1:28:08. WOW‼️😮Extremely rare 2023 Trans Am Firebird . A small company [ I believe out of Miami area] takes the Chevy Camaro, and turns it into a “Pontiac “. Very limited production, but for a couple of years, now. Really surprised to see one , there. 🚗😮❗️
As a collector of radios, I come up against the same attitude - a particular radio isn’t “ old enough “ to be “vintage” by some, or it isn’t the “right “ brand, etc. …. Collecting is Highly Subjective. To me, that’s what makes it interesting . The heck with what one particular person says. I like those little Mazdas . Gun , old , and very reliable. I personally do consider it “vintage “. 📻🙂
Love OCC , just wish the presenter would tell u his name, and show more of him walking about we very rarely see him in a video .mibby Ur youthful assistant could film you. Go on tell the viewers your name . Keep up the good work.
My details are on the "more..." link on the channel homepage, www.youtube.com/@oldclassiccarUK It's tricky to appear in the walkaround videos as my youthful assistant is often doing his own video-ing. The videos are meant to be about the cars, not me, so hopefully it's not too much of a problem if I don't appear all that often !! :)
Great video RJ. As for the comments regarding the MX5, I feel they are "misguided`" shall we say and you will always get the occasional negative remarks and the odd troll or two which should just be ignored. Do like the Crossfire immensely and would gladly have one myself. You now have 30K subscribers which is a testament to the first rate content quality you provide.
722ENK high line zodiac was mine some years ago. And it was on display in luton. At a garage who the original owner owned. The colour code is AA. And its belived that only one in that colour of single tone was ever produced.
58:24. I really like the styling of these Triumphs. [ although those rims do not match or look good on it- totally wrong style - just my opinion]. 1:01:02- not a fan of the MK1 Cortina [ I really prefer the MK2 style], but that Estate [ wagon] is really sharp. 📻🙂
I have an old photo taken in Sherwood Forest of my Dad with his Austin Van. I took the photo with my Polaroid instant camera, I guess I would have been about 13 or 14 years old at the time, being 63 now! I would like to have this photo in one of your videos, how do I send it to you?
Congratlutions for your stunning photography - especially the impressionistic shots featuring the quirky white building, The Ford Mk1V Zodiac has got to be the ugliest car Ford ever made in Britain - funnily enough it was replaced by their most beautiful big car the Mk1 Granada. The Alfa Romeo/ Nissan colaboration was known as the Arna in Italy and was so in a word crap that it nearly broke the company!
It's me that tries to keep out of the way of the general public, very few people intentionally walk in front of someone with a camera (fortunately!) :)

Looks like this one has a good entrance area for photographs, great variety of classics too
We displayed our classic campervan, fantastic show.
Great video, and there is nothing wrong with your MX5. It had every right to be at the show.
Thanks for sharing this Rick.
Excellent show
Thank you😊😊😊😮
VVU 225L, my Harvest Gold Midget, nice to see it here with me departing at 2:42:50 many thanks for the video😎
Another good one Rick, MK1 MX5s are obviously classics and are recognized as such by classic car insurers!
Another very enjoyable video Mr OCC!👍
Great video with interesting cars-love the Alfa 105s, the ‘step’ is such a curiosity. I find your videos quite soothing! 😅
Glad you like them!
That Regal is beautiful.
It really stood out, perhaps the metallic paint was the reason, definitely an eye-catcher
Like allways ,, nice , your knowledge of car are impressive , thanks for a good channel
Mats
Thanks Mats!

Ha yes that might be it, I feel old seeing some of the cars at these meets too :)

🚗😮❗️
So many mazda mx on show my face feels as if it’s been slapped good looking 😏
Besides making a striking looking car, the Ford Zodiac Mk4 at 16:09 has the same wheel covers as my 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 did. Very surprising!
👍👍👍👍👍

30k eh!? how'd that happen, must have clicked over while I was out and about earlier today. Thanks for sticking with both our channels for so long.

In the states like the Prowler , the Crossfire is a rare car or the Viper
At 94 I remember these cars.Morris minor the best but some were terrible
At 208, we the viewers didnt get to see the 50 era ford consul??
whas with the puddles..
If my interior is brown what is a proper exterior color for an Austin 1100 ? Pre Leyland.
Ooo not sure, sounds like a question for an ADO16 group or club

Hi probably easiest if you email it to me, rj@oldclassiccar.co.uk, and I can pop it on file for future use, thanks
shocking camera work...
U could make it a quiz question
What's the presenters name on occ
?? Correct answer gets into a car show free.😅
Had to laugh:
Mercedes and Chrysler “in bed together - for better or worse “.
Definitely for Worse - for both of them.
📻🙂
Ha yes not exactly a glory time especially for MB
@@oldclassiccarUK
A shame. MB quality ended up more like Chrysler, and Chrysler became a shell.
MB HAS greatly improved these past few years.
📻🙂

Thanks Steve, I'll always look out for something interesting to include in a few clips if I can
Why do idiots walk in between you and what you are filming. Keep up the good work.
