I’m so glad you’re here to help. Here in Taiwan we have A LOT of stray dogs and no one wants to help them bc people only like the small and cute ones. If you go visit the country side, you’ll see tons of stray dogs and most of them are dogs like this one, here we call them mountain dogs. And some places even eat them. I’m trying my best to save them especially feed them whenever I can, but me being under 18, still in school, living with my strict family and have close to no money of my own, it’s really hard to find a place for them to stay. Especially when im not even allowed to go too far from home. If any of you want to come to Taiwan, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE donate to shelters and please feed a stray dog whenever you see one. And don’t forget to give them some love too. That’s all they ask for😔

You may not meet the people in your life that care about the animals, but there are others that care around you near or far away somewhere. You can write papers in school about what you see and what you think should be done that brings attention to the situation. You can locate and visit shelters near you talk to them. You can contact world wide humane societies or animal rights groups. Tell them where the problem is without saying your real name as your parents may not want you to get involved. Just tell them what you see. Be the ears and eyes for them, they may know someone near or far away that will come in and help.

He stepped on animal traps set by the aborigines who try to catch wild boars with snares. Hikers found him injured and on the verge of death. These kind hikers contacted Sean and Ross, well known animal rescuers in Taiwan. Sandy is very lucky to have been rescued by Sean and Ross, two truly amazing human beings. I adopted Sandy 5 years ago and he is doing well today. He’s a very healthy, loving, affectionate, and energetic pup. If you’d like to see some recent pictures of Sandy, let me know and I’d be happy to share.

Cheesy thought from watching so many dodo videos, but these things constantly amaze me with the power of human beings to go out of their way just to help an animal. They're not doing it for money or fame or anything. These dudes hiked up a mountain for hours just to go rescue this dog and then hiked all the way back down, took care of the dog, and made sure he got a new home. I'm so glad that people have the capacity and even the instinct to go out and do things that don't benefit THEM at all. They just do it to help another living creature and I think that's awesome.
"We'll foster him for a while..." _Days later_ "We'd like to adopt him!" I bet his rescuers get more free meals from now on too lol. So happy they all found each other, who couldn't fall in love with a snuggle bug like Sandy?

I just found a kitty while walking my dogs. It was covered in ants/fleas I just spend 1hr trying to clean her. And feeding her. Now im late for work. But its worth it.

They need to have a spay and neuter program and have Vets to volunteer to spay and neuter the dogs for free to get control of the population problem that's so sad 😭
@@GabbyGabzer We do have spray and neuter programs, its just people are terrible and just dump dogs and not neuter them when they get the pet. For this dog's case it looks like a wild mix dog with both foot got chumped off by boar traps.

That sweet creature was fortunate in more than one way. You saved his life, and considering the country you are in and the color of that sweet boy, I’m surprised he wasn’t slaughtered and eaten before you arrived. Thank you for saving him!!!
