Lyrics
Oh, misty eye of the mountain below
Keep careful watch of my brothers' souls
And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke
Keep watching over Durin's sons
If this is to end in fire
Then we should all burn together
Watch the flames climb high into the night
Calling out father oh
Stand by and we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on
The mountain side (high)
And if we should die tonight
Then we should all die together
Raise a glass of wine for the last time
Calling out father oh
Prepare as we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on
The mountain side
Desolation comes upon the sky
Now I see fire
Inside the mountain
And I see fire
Burning the trees
And I see fire
Hollowing souls
And I see fire
Blood in the breeze
And I hope that you remember me
Oh, should my people fall
Then surely I'll do the same
Confined in mountain halls
We got too close to the flame
Calling out father oh
Hold fast and we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on
The mountain side
Desolation comes upon the sky
Now I see fire
Inside the mountain
And I see fire
Burning the trees
And I see fire
Hollowing souls
And I see fire
Blood in the breeze
And I hope that you remember me
And if the night is burning
I will cover my eyes
For if the dark returns
Then my brothers will die
And as the sky is falling down
It crashed into this lonely town
And with that shadow upon the ground
I hear my people screaming out
Now I see fire
Inside the mountains
I see fire
Burning the trees
I see fire
Hollowing souls
I see fire
Blood in the breeze
I see fire
Oh you know I saw a city burning out (fire)
And I see fire
Feel the heat upon my skin, yeah (fire)
And I see fire (fire)
And I see fire burn on and on the mountain side

"The world is not only in the books and maps. It's out there". Gandalf
Said a character from a book that's better than the real world
I read this. In his voice.
@@po-ta-to4159 Hey, don't be so pessimistic. After all, this character was created by a REAL man. J.R.R Tolkien believed what he wrote. And this statement is straight out facts☺️
@@po-ta-to4159 it's not better, it's just more interesting to you because your life probably isn't as entertaining as the show
Woa, woa why ya'll taking it out on me i never said my life is boring or anything, i just pointed out the irony of gandalf's dialogue so shut up
I love how far he's come, great singer and this song just gets me thinking of everything! very inspirational
Are you talking about Ed or Bilbo Baggins...?
ChaosBorn55 surely about ed
alex van dijk Definitely Bilbo.
I am fairly sure it's about Bilbo, have you heard him sing?!?
I didn’t know you listen to Ed Sheeran
I can still remember when Ed Sheeran shared in one of his interviews that he was a bit drunk when he received a short noticed email to do the music for this movie. Glad he happens to open his email and work on the music (and even finish it, if I remember it right) that same night.
It's been 10 years. Congrats 🎉
Nobody will ever be able to explain to me why this song didn't win an Oscar also.
Grammy you mean?
@@mo0on487
Well, I meant when the movie was up for Oscars, I thought it should win for song from the movie. However, any awards were deserved.
MO0ON Oscar for Film Musik

Me too
my soul cums every time I hear this
This song really shows the lyrical, melodic and vocal power of ed sheeran. Will always be one of my favorites
I'm here because I see fire that is burning countries, states, and even my people because of the fire that is rage in other peoples heart.
I can't believe I actually cried. Nostalgia hit too hard listening to this after almost a decade.
Hi
It reminds me a very good friend, a soul mate, I just mis him sooo much 😢
Almost as if you were in the adventure yourself, looking back at fond memories
How tf is this already almost 10 years old. I can't
i cried when i saw it was realeased in 2013 how time flew by so fast
"If we should die tonight, we should all die together."
Wow you hit on the nail. I cant believe how old this song has been around.
Literally Durin's line 😭
„Raise a glass of wine, for the last time.“
How in 2021 this means more than just a song now... the world is standing up!
I remember sitting in the theater as a little kid and hearing that line after smaugs I am fire I am death line and getting chills
Ed is truly a great talent that we should appreciate
It’s hard to explain but this song is perfect! If I ever have children, I’ll use this song as a lullaby.
"And if we should die tonight, we should all die together
Raise a glass of wine, for the last time" Omg, beatiful
I think you mean beautiful
I think you mean 'beautiful'.
house on fire - sia
Blyatiful*
Not really
Doctor: you only have 4 minutes left to live.
Me: play I See Fire.
Doctor: thats almost five minutes.
God: its okay
Respect🤯🤯
Good God
I will be singing as I die
But I said 4 minutes...Aw, fine!
This is it... The revelation from God himself...
Where has the past 10 years gone 😮
wasted sitting in front of a computer for most of us :P
I wish they would release more movies like LOTR, Hobbit or Harry potter. These are masterpieces
the harry potter books were better than the movies imo but ok
@@coderbunny5653 yea true, the movies would have been better if they had more detail and i wont forget to mention that hp was inspired by LOTR and Hobbit and the same for GoT
Film industry is scared to take risks at the moment.
@@icicle3133 proof?
Yes just its so nice to watch and its just sad that they dont realease more 😕
My father also showed me this song a lot and we would sing this together. When he passed away, which was a year ago, I learned this on guitar and played it at his funeral. I’m 15 now and I’m glad I played it. This song has always given me hope and peace. I miss my father everyday, but I always find peace with this song. If you are dealing with a lost, feel free to message me, never lose faith ✊
Thats amazing bro 😁
Youre a god man
Yo you are an amazing person keep persevering you are gonna make him proud.
Ur a legend dude. I'm sorry for ur loss but ur only getting stronger. Be good😑🙏😥✊👊

Ed Sheeran - I See Fire ( LYRICS )
Oh, misty eye of the mountain below
Keep careful watch of my brothers' souls
And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke
Keep watching over Durin's sons
If this is to end in fire, then we should all burn together
Watch the flames climb high into the night
Callin' out, Father, oh, stand by and we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on the mountainside high
And if we should die tonight, we should all die together
Raise a glass of wine for the last time
Callin' out, Father, oh, prepare as we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on the mountainside
Desolation comes upon the sky
Now, I see fire inside the mountain
I see fire burnin' the trees
And I see fire hollowin' souls
I see fire, blood in the breeze
And I hope that you'll remember me
Oh, should my people fall then surely, I'll do the same
Confined in mountain halls, we got too close to the flame
Callin' out, Father, oh, hold fast and we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on the mountainside
Desolation comes upon the sky
Now, I see fire inside the mountain
I see fire burnin' the trees
And I see fire hollowin' souls
I see fire, blood in the breeze
And I hope that you'll remember me
And if the night is burning, I will cover my eyes
For if the dark returns, then my brothers will die
And as the sky's fallin' down, it crashed into this lonely town
And with that shadow upon the ground, I hear my people screamin' out
Now, I see fire inside the mountains
I see fire burnin' the trees
I see fire hollowin' souls
I see fire, blood in the breeze
I see fire (Oh, you know I saw a city burnin' out)
And I see fire (Feel the heat upon my skin)
And I see fire
And I see fire burn auburn on the mountain side
Thanks.
You're awesome! Thank you!

Thanks
The Hobbit; underrated trilogy
I see fire; ed's underrated song
It is because people compare Hobit to the LotR . And nothing can compare to LotR.
@@Manysdugjohn You should know that there is nothing to compare. Both the Trilogies are made by the same Director. I myself like LOTR better but TH isn't that bad as people manifest it.
@@HayDayEveryday That is exactly what I am saying. People expected the hobbit to be as good as the LOTR .. but nothing can be as good as LOTR.
As a trilogy LOTR is better, but as the book, other way around.
@@nikolaykravtsev3705 I have no idea about the books.. but we are talking about movies here.
Everyone was busy at a wedding while i went back home alone at age 14 , turned the tv and watched the movie in silence , was sitting on the ground and the end credits rolled with this song , i just felt it's the end of the world and there's no where else to go and i just sat there all night letting myself taken off by the feelings of this song
I hope you were under the influence of some kind of drugs or alcohol
This man makes me cry more often than even The Beatles do. This really means something.
Roses are red
