this may sound weird, but you are stunningly beautiful. the hairstyles you do in your tutorials suit you very well. thanks for making the steps relatively simple.
I just wanted to say thank you for making all of these lovely tutorials.Historical hair is often difficult to fathom or re-create. I appreciate the time and effort and research you put into making sure they're beautiful. Its fantastic to have such a great one stop shop. Also, your voice is absolutely gorgeous.
i think one of the reason that you look so beautiful with these hairstyles is because you have the face for it. you genuinely look like you came out of a time machine!
as someone who loves all things steampunk and victorian i absolutely love your victorian and edwardian videos. it is incredibly hard to find tutorials on hairstyles like these. please! please! more videos like this. wonderful job
I'm pleased that you enjoyed the video. It is always quite nerve racking when you upload a tutorial because you have NO idea if people are going to like it or not! Thank you for taking the time to comment x
I discovered your videos yesterday and I'm so in love with those hairstyles! My hair is really curly so I always thought ''Oh nothing is ever going to look good on that'' But your styles are so easy and simple but they look amazing!! Thank you so much, this helps me a lot :)
Haha! Don't worry. I love to hear from you. I am glad you like this video. I try to get the styles as authentic as possible, sometimes it's hard to work out the instructions but, I try. I hope you like the rest of the videos. take care. xxx Thank you for your sub. xxx
i love that you actually know what the edwardian era was! People just give me blank stares when I talk about eras! LOVE you videos. You are very talented!
1) Don't apologise. Your English is much better than my German! 2) I'm very pleased that you find the styles easy and pretty. Thank you for taking the time to comment
My school is doing a period piece on factory girls from this era, and I was put in charge of hair. This and your Gibson-esque one have really helped me come up with the looks I need. Thank you.
How lovely! A well presented, clearly explained and demonstrated hair do. I think this will be added to my Steampunk, going out and formal hair do list - so many days covered! Thank you again for a simple and inspiring video. :-)
Thank you for your videos Natalie! I am from the Yale Ballet Company here in the United States and we are dancing with the Yale Opera, so everyone is using your videos to help us on entering as better as we can in our characters! :D
I know I just commented on another video haha but I was so born in the wrong time period and have been looking for this period of hairstyles. I am officially a subscriber of yours and I'm so excited to watch every single video
Finally, something to do with my hair after I've let it air-dry! It's not straight but it doesn't get super curly, so I think this Edwardian pomp styles will work great. I can't wait to try them out!
Thanks for the fabulous tutorial! I followed your instructions to the letter, except for adding a headband right behind the pompadour. I love how it turned out! I linked to your video in mine here: Valentine's Day Edwardian hairstyle and my new TMJ splint!
I just discovered you today, and I've absolutely fallen in love with your videos already! Not only are your videos well made and easy to follow, but your personality shines through and you're easy to listen to(I tend to get annoyed by people who talk a lot in tutorials). And, last but not least, and this may sound strange, but as an historian I really appreciate the authenticity of your historical hair dos :D Can't wait to see what you do next!
been looking for an edwardian hairstyle that can be used for everyday/special occasions (toned down a bit for the 'everyday' of course haha) and I'm so glad I found this vid! Subscribed!
Thanks to this excellent tutorial, I was able to do a really great 'do for the Edwardian Ball in San Francisco. I felt fabulous! You're gorgeous, keep up the excellent work!
I used this video to learn this hairstyle. I did it up for Toinette, the Maid in Molierre's The Accidental Invalid. She looked FABULOUS! It totally added to the actress's character and attitude!
I found this video in my search for Gibson girl hairstyles. Your video is def. the best. I wanted to do a modern twist on the Gibson girl for Valentine's day...love your videos! I subbed btw :)
The Edwardian period a/k/a the Gilded Age wasn’t an era where makeup was used as we do today. Read Edith Wharton’s The Buccaneers, a historical novel about the real life American dollar princesses of the period. A major character in the novel is based on Consuelo Vanderbilt, who was forced by her mother to marry the ninth Duke of Marlborough. Marlborough was Winston Churchill’s first cousin BTW. That said, this era is compatible with a very understated makeup style. Anything that’s obvious - like winged eyeliner or dark blush/lip color - will break character with the historical and social style of that period.
i think this style is my favorite. So lovely! But i was wondering, do you think maybe using that sea salt spray people use to do that beachy wave style would help give that texture you spoke of previously?
I know I should be commenting on the lovely updo, but I was mesmerized by your skin! It's absolutely glowing in this video! Are you still sticking to the turmeric mask/lemon juice combo?
I had about a month off and then started again about 4 days before this video. I was worried about my skin in this video actually, I'm glad it looks okay
Can you do a small tutorial on how to do puffs? I adore this and thank you I have always wanted to do a pompadour and you are even helping with my Romance Novel THANKS!
I just found your video and would love to try it on my hair. Granted, it's a little longer than shoulder length and can only curl by sleeping on braided hair or getting a perm, so we'll see how this goes, but I look forward to trying it.
Hello ! Love The edwardian/ victorian tutorials and have literally save my hair as I do not have to straighten it everyday. What is the music in this video?
I love your tutorials so much! I was wondering if you could do a recreation of the hairstyle of Christy Huddleston, in the show series, "Christy". You are so talented and beautiful!
Sadly, my hair is way too short and layered for this type of hair style, but in the meantime while it's still growing I definitely use the kinda, quick and simple Edwardian hairstyle from the video "BACK to SCHOOL EASY vintage Retro inspired hairstyles". It makes up for my short hair and everyone at school loves it. :)
Im mixed raced and I have naturally curly hair it would be really nice if you could show me how to do the vintage styles on hair that is already naturally curly
I would LOVE to see you do a tutorial on Keira Knightlys hair in Anna Karenina. I know she wore a wig in the movie but I really want to see it done with actual hair :)
Amazon sells what’s called a bun roll that sometimes is a cloth roll wrapped with human/synthetic hair braided around the roll. That may be a good solution to help you achieve this look.

I know I should be commenting on the lovely updo, but I was mesmerized by your skin! It's absolutely glowing in this video! Are you still sticking to the turmeric mask/lemon juice combo?
Yes, I'm wearing make up. I worried about my face in this video actually. My cheeks were crazy flushed!
Absolutely love it and it is so easy to do!
I had about a month off and then started again about 4 days before this video. I was worried about my skin in this video actually, I'm glad it looks okay
Not sure, not too much longer. Probably takes about 5 - 10 minutes in total, obviously without the talking :)
Love the way you explain the tutorials. Thank you! Also you are gorgeous!! :) x
Brilliant! This is exactly what I was looking for for my steampunk costume.
Brilliant execution! My hair isn’t nearly as long but the style is achievable using this technique.
