Buy yourself a dozen Sharpie markers in different colors and color code each molex connector (male and female) with a quick swipe of color before unplugging them. Easier than numbering them all.
I had the runaway bias with a JCM 2000 DSL 100 head back in the mid 2000s. It took out the power valves and the OT, plus burned the PCB, etc. It was before replacement boards or bias kits were available. What the old school tech here in NZ did was what he called 'lifting the curcuit'. He cut the faulty traces and then hand wired that part of the curcuit. It worked a treat. I traded it in for a brand new Marshall 1959RR head. The Randy Rhoads amp. It took months to arrive in NZ from Milton Keynes where I grew up. Just over a week later it blew up. The damage was so bad the retailer offered me a full refund. I bought mid '80s JCM 800 head instead.
Hello. You have had some bad luck with tube amps. I watched a video of a guy hand wiring the JCM 2000 TSL. It worked out great. Thanks for watching and take care.
Blimey, what a nightmare , but as usual you managed to fix it with one of those kits I`ve seen before, excellent job Martyn. ,you`ve got the patience of JOB and great playing ,of course .
That mod is really effective.. Fitting it is a bit beyond my pay scale and level of expertise. Scoping up the output to fine tune the bias really works well. A picture tells a thousand words ! Great playing at the end Martyn.. I can't quite fall in love with the sound, but one mans meat is another mans poison ..
Excellent work guvnor!! I really enjoy your videos. They're straightforward, full of really good tips and delivered by someone who obviously knows what they're talking about. No ego-driven self-promotey nonsense. 10/10 👍👍
I couldn't think of anyone with more knowledge about tube amplifiers than Xavier drTube. Also a really great guy. Top service
Hello, yes he gets my vote. Is website is fantastic too. So much info on there. Thanks for watching and take care.

I did think of that. I certainly will next time. Take care.
That's my amp! I'm so pleased that I was able to get a Dr Tube kit and that Martin was able to fit and repair the amp.10 out of 10 - steve-amplifire
Thanks Steve. Let's hope it lasts a few more years. Take care.

Hello Pete. Yes, it's a good mod. I have to say I don't care much for the sound. But some people get on well with them. Take care Pete.
Another good job there m8
