I would like to know where you got yours to begin with. I have only found one hatchery and their prices are way beyond my reach. I can find the white ones, but I prefer the Pied like you have.
(Wife typing) Hello! I came across your video looking for some tips to better house (and keep from flying!!) my Muscovy clan. I saw your Menards bucket and want to say hello from the Midwest! We live in central Iowa, homestead, and have 5 boys ages 12 and under. I wanted to say that you did an absolutely fantastic job with this video! I am looking to increase via breeding my current Muscovy flock as we found a niche of buyers in our area. Blessings to you, dear! You are doing a marvelous job! We will be subscribing after I post this comment.
Hello Ms. Rogers. My iPad ran out of charge while I was answering a question about Muscovy and now I can't find it. I think you had asked where we bought our Muscovy and I was trying to say craigslist when it shut down. We bought them in winter and we paid less for adults than for hatchlings, so I recommend Craigslist and waiting til off season. We have an Etsy store and could send you 6 Muscovy eggs instead of chicken eggs if you like but you would need an incubator. Please excuse this comment if it was not your question that I am answering. So sorry but thank you for watching our video!! -Trie
Great video ladies! Or Chickies should I say... You girls are as adorable as your beautiful flock haha. Nice job on the editing too, I can see a film director or 3 here :-) Just got myself 6 muscovy babies, 2 boys, 4 girls so thanks for the useful info a keep up the good work x
Hello!! Muscovy Ducks are not really ducks. Their hatch times are very different than ducks or chickens. Some say they are distant cousins of geese and our Amish friends call them swamp turkeys. It would be interesting to see if they could be crossed with geese or turkeys, though.
Kamau WikeepaWikk We would love to see more about this. I know the egg gestation times are longer for Muscovy ducks and we've never seen any cross breeding in our vineyard. We'd love to see pictures!
Muscovy are very quiet. When agitated they can make a hissing sound. It is not very loud but you can hear it. It sound sort of like the soft th sound when saying thread. They are by far the most quiet animal we own.

We found our ducks at a local farm. We got them as adults, so I don’t know what hatcheries have them. Sorry I can’t be of more help, but thank you!
