I love how chaotic it sounds, like it's always changing instruments and sounds, and it's for moments really fast and then goes slower for a bit and then goes fast again. Truly a perfect theme for Giratina, the chaos pokemon itself.

I like kyurem more, but giritina is absolutely bonkers of a concept. Having the literal demon lord in your game is risky for a kids game but they made it work absolutely perfectly
Platinum was my first ever pokemon game I played through. I was nine years old when I finished it.The Sinnoh games had such a badass soundtrack that will forever be engraved into my memories. I never realized how intense this song was when I was fighting Giratina. The moment in itself was really intense and to top it off he was my first legendary. I also beat cynthia around that age, which afterward I realized that many people STILL claim she is the hardest champion in the series. I also made the mistake up to the 4th gym of always using my Chimchar, so my Infernape was crazy overleveled. Had to grind levels for roselia a bit to get past the water type guy tho Platinum will always be my favorite pokemon game, and hearing that they were working on the remakes has my hyped. I feel like I will tear up though if I hear twinleaf's theme again.

You can't just tell that Giratina is the pokemon/god of darkness/chaos, you can FEEL it! It's so smothering and suffocating. So intense yet haywire. Very emblematic of Giratina He's not necessarily evil, but he is the pokemon of the dark
At 0:17, it's like something purely dark and evil is crawling and lurching out of the shadows to attack... and you can just picture yourself clenching your fists as you realize it's you that has to stop it. I ADORE that part...

For some odd reason, this wasn't as much of a problem for me on Diamond and Pearl as it was in Platinum. (And I just used regular Poké Balls in those.)
This game got me back into Pokemon... well, at least, the HeartGold and SoulSilver announcement did, but this definitely did a good job at holding me over till its release

Man, soft resetting for a Lonely Giratina at that point in the game was daunting, considering I didn't have any Synchronizers. I got sick of hearing the music, but when I finally got it like I wanted, I started to think otherwise and came here. :D 5/5 One of the best game music I've heard. EVER.

He was banished into the Torn (Disortion) World by Arceus because of it's giant violence. Years later, Cyrus opened up the portal to the disortion world, thus letting Giritina out. After you caught/defeat it, it's Disortion World got demolished like the portal.
I love the deep rumbling sound at 0:17 to 0:21. It's intimidating and scary, especially in contrast to the high-pitch tingly notes playing at the same time.
I can imagine the kids first hearing this theme in Platinum long ago: "wait isn't this thing gonna have a normal theme" *theme plays* "oh my god! ITS SATAN HIMSELF!"
I'm on a quest to turn the music of Pokemon into tracks in Guitar Hero. More specifically, the fan-made Clone Hero remake. I did the original champion theme from Red/Blue (Against your rival) but now I'm doing this song. I can already imagine some of these parts being very fun to place notes for.

Oddly enough, I found I had a much, MUCH harder time catching Giratina in Platinum than I did in either Diamond or Pearl.
