I saw this kid in Bossier City back in the day. I was in Shreveport for a week one day working. That night we crossed the river - this kid could not have been 16 years old. I'm not sure how he made it into the casino. I used to watch Stevie Ray in the 80's - Life Without You etc...same drummer. Good stuff.
KWS. So underrated. Funny how that next generation of great guitarist's idolized Jimi. One and all they were/ are modest. KWS, Jonny Lang, SRV. I rest my case
MY GAWD everytime I hear this any version of this... I need a cigarette after soooo effing hot... it is sex on the guitar.... wow, just wrung out !! Thanx Kenny!!
Is this some sort of tribute to Pearl Jam? Sounds exactly like their song Yellow Ledbetter, only nowhere near as good. Even his album title had 'ledbetter' in it.
+gmon78 Yeah dude it's gotta be.... first 2 minutes sound exactly the same, including elements from the solo too. he obviously makes it his own, but i cant help but sing pearl jam along to this hahah. still good though
I dig Kenny, he has awesome songs, I only wish he would have grown as a soloist after all this time. This is a cute little piece, but he's playing with a beginners vocabulary. Sorry to say it but any experienced musician knows what I'm talking about. And i'm not talking about speed. The story starts great but goes completely nowhere except to his bag of overplayed SRV licks.
Jesus Kenny, get out of the fucking box pattern dude, use your own voice and say something else with your playing. But KWS songs are still stronger than most commercial blues artists.

When a song doesn’t need words, the guitar says it all. 👏

HUGE controversy about just that thought, each artist says nay it wasn't copied but derived from I believe Little WIng Awesome Jams for sure.

Harsh but enlightening for sure. This is simply s GOOD man, feeling bad blues. Nothing harsh about THAT!🎸
