How to turn left at lights [BURNABY BC]Left turns suck.

In this video i address left turns at lights\intersections. When the light is green and the intersection is clear you may proceed. However always remember to yield to pedestrians, on coming traffic and cars turning right. On the green "LEFT" arrow however proceed with confidence always scanning both ways before entering the intersection. Safe gaps are important. If you cant see don't go, sometimes it is actually safer to wait for the yellow or red light before turning left. Always wait for the cars to stop or run the yellow or red light then get out of the intersection. As long as you've entered the intersection on the green light you must exit. Whether that happens on a green, yellow or red is all fine as long as its done safely and properly.

Yes, auto fail as it's illegal to reverse in the intersection.

Are you allowed to be on the other side of the road? With no one parked on either side of the road you are turning onto.

Hi I don’t know if you still check these comments but my biggest struggle is turning left at a yellow light, I have issues gauging when to turn and when to assume the other car will be coming to a stop when they are in a distance that’s neither far or near

hi, you never assume anything. You wait until the traffic stops or blows through yellow

Right turns always have the right of way over left turns if the light is green.
