    Pretty cool that moog has this.. more knobs to twist is always a good thing.. virtual or the real deal

    Thanks, how reliable and solid is this editor? Is the hardware integration into your DAW very seamless?

    WOuld love to know how to set up the other banks of sounds you mention at 13:33. I've got these banks from the Moog website but don't know how to get them from a folder on my desktop where I located them to the editor itself (some kind of link needs to be established I assume but where do you do that at?). Any help would be great

    Hey I could not find the answer in the comments or anywhere else on the internet.
    Is it possible to set an exact tempo in the editor in case you wanna prepare specific sounds for individual songs in a definite tempo?
    For example have a steady lfo doing straight 8th notes?
    And if so, can u save the patch for good to be stage ready without an external midi clock or anything like that?

    Is this an older model? It doesnt look the same as my Sub 37.

    the editor is a very useful asset as a standalone software. However used in Cubase creates a myriad of mysterious malfunctions manifesting as muted audio and silenced vst instruments. Hopefully an update will transpire in time.

    2 questions, will this software work with the newer Subsequent 37 CV/gate model, and does it transmit everything from the sequencer via MIDI..?

    Good vid! I don't see any ways to play in the editor...Does the Sub37 need to be connected in order to play the patches?

    In Ableton I have a very strange issue with this editor. If I have the editor loaded onto a midi track along with an External Instrument device sending MIDI to the Sub 37 (which i believe is the standard way of using the editor in ableton) As I switch presets using the physical buttons of the synth, I get all sorts of random midi messages coming from my computer to the Synth, including ones that actually save over my presets! It makes the editor basically unusable, and I've already had to reinstall the factory presets once to fix the ones that were overwritten. I have the synth connected to the computer via USB. Has anyone else experienced this?

    When you pulled up your librarian, there were a few different patch folders. I'm pretty new to synthesis, and the Subsequent 37 is quite a lot to figure out so having some presets to start with could really help. Do you have anywhere, that you recommend, getting them??? Also, when you use a preset, in editor, can you see what the parameters are? I JUST got a Subsequent 37, and havent started with the editor yet because i also JUST got a computer. Just trying to learn, and understand this stuff. THANKS!!!

    Everytime I load the software it keeps asking me to sync my sub 37 with the software even though I have not created any new patches and have already synced it multiple times? Anyone else experienced this?

    Hi there! If you turn knobs on the Sub 37 front panel, do the knobs move in realtime on the editor? I guess yes but I didn't see that mentioned in your video.

    • @amphitheatre
      @amphitheatre 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes they do

    • @rdean150
      @rdean150 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, and more importantly they will show the actual state of all knobs after switching patches, not what the knobs are physically set to. This is incredibly helpful for quickly and reliably getting your knobs back to an accurate match of what was saved in the patch. Just one by one twist each knob to match what you see on screen. Let's you use your eyes, not just your ears.

    Thanks! I tries to use the Editor with my Arturia MiniLab as MIDI controller. The Moog symbol is flashing, In/Out says Arturia MiniLab, but there's no sound. The editor also shows Dísconnected. Does this means I can't use the MniLab? (I also have the KeyLab 49 (also Arturia) is that working better? Musically yours Liselotte in Sweden

    • @rdean150
      @rdean150 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You mean a separate hardware midi controller so you don't have to touch the physical Sub(sequent) 37 itself? But you still have the moog hardware connected, right? The actual synth is in the hardware, this editor is just an interface for it, but you still need the Moog hardware to generate the sounds.

    hay I'm sending my sub37 for repair, sad times. So I need to save all my presets, could you tell me how to do this? I've tried a few things but can't seem to confirm that I've actually saved them on my computer?

    • @fatnurse
      @fatnurse 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Andy Murray Best way to do this would be using the Sub37 editor and transfer your presets using that. I'm sure you can do a sysex dump also.

      Register (or call tech support). After registration, they send you the "download" ... you need to install their latest firmware (albeit mine was already installed when I was told to do that). Hope this helps.

      its neither. you need the actual hardware for this to work. I dont have it but I can see value to save patches and automate parameters in your DAW

    • @GOASTWRITTER
      @GOASTWRITTER 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok I was misunderstood! What I wanted to know is... I know you need the hardware. But do you need to load the editor into a DAW to use it? Or can you load it with out the DAW?
