No matter what parameters I try the sphere either explodes or collapses and gets all messed up. Also the mesh seems to always have a hole in it from the very start. It's looks like it's ripped at a seam in two halves.
LOL, I watched the video while at work, got home and notification worked :| good video though if I'm being honest, i like the godot version more, except the passing through obj
@@_PiCode I figured this was the case until I saw 1:43. Am I just overthinking it, or did you spend an inordinate amount of time manually stitching the spinning platform?
"Waiting for Godot" is a play about mysterious man who never comes. That's the key point of tale. This explains goal of Godot foundation: receive donations and investigations in affilated companies, being stuck in eternal development of software, that never becomes good enough for your goals. While you're waiting for properly working features, you may die of old age. I am still waiting for properly working Global Illumination. It was planned for 4.3. release, then it was postponed to 4.4. Have to wait one another year. Also need proper shadow-casting lights. I've never seen such framerate drops from multiple lights in any engine.
What engine are you using at the moment? I'm looking to learn and build things. Does seem strange there inbuilt solutions are holding the engine back. And jolt doesn't fix everything.
@@MrXlee1967 for now I'm choosing between Unity and Unreal, because anything open-source doesn't fit into my ambitions of first-person shooter with actually good graphics and performance at the same time. Maybe if I become skillful enough (skillful as programmer), I'll take a closer look for Dagor engine and O3DE. First one is production-proven and second one, well, doesn't have such problems as Godot does. And, well, there's announced extraction shooter "Reverb" based upon O3DE. Screenshots on their site look promising.
Us Godot users when from a softbody to a rigidbody when we saw this... if you catch my drift
Fluid simulation next
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO
the final competition look like a player vs a cheater
thank you so much for making this! I really hope they make both softbodies collide in the future! this already looks so good
Of course I won't try anything suspicious with this knowledge
Bro really covers the important Godot news.
Godot wins the race!! (interacted with less obstacles)
Oh yes this will be sooo useful, amazing
I hope softbody - softbody collision gets fixed though, it's very important
you make great tutorials just subbed
Glad you like them!

I use a custom sphere that I made from blender to get rid of that hole.
@@_PiCode Aahhhhh... I will try that!

I love that this is edited like a geometry dash video from 2014
Soft Body is made broken so we can't do those Jigly stuff.
Teh proper technical term is Soft Booby.
could you make a grapplehook tutorial?
Only if enough people want it.
@@_PiCode alr
Anything for 2d? Soft body 2d plugin messes up circular textures
Nice video. You earned a subscriber.
Thanks!
How did you do the side by side comparison?
Some kind of editing magic...

So what I did is, i record the jolt side seperately from the godot side, and then just play the clip on the background of the godot side.
In a sense, godot native won.
how did you put both physics engines together 🤯
I record the jolt physics and play the clip as a background of the godot physics.
Mfw watching godot soft body physics demonstration and sneaky snitch comes on 🕺. For real tho that shit sends me into fight or flight.
Can you give me more videos explaining the buttons in detail in Godot?
You mean the softbody properties?

cant godot use taichi programming to create better physics for godot?
cool video
wow
Godot Physics clearly won the race by a lot!!! Jolt slow and useless🤣🤣.
