I love watching these videos as a dedicated necron player who knows what factions I like and just agreeing with the video when it says good things about the armies I play.
I'm doing GSC, but the Bart riding a dog made me realize I could have my Jackals ride dogs instead of motocycles. So I guess I'm going to find a bunch of Space Wolf chaff, to make a GSC who is leading a glorious rebellion against the smell opprosive doge men.
As a sisters player, I got daemons for massive shinanigans and wanting chaos across the battlefield. I have a feeling I’m playing sisters wrong now as lethal hits and dev wounds are my best friends.
I know everything about each faction, but that was so engaging I just couldn't help but watch till the end. Pretty good descriptions also. There's so much lore stuff around and so little digestible info about how each faction plays.
Awesome breakdown! I picked space wolves for the viking aesthetic and melee focus. I still get to pull versatility and shooting from the space marine units as well. That Simpsons clip with Bart riding a dog got some belly laughs from me. A+ memeing there Sir.
I'm still pretty torn between wanting to start a Blood Angels army or a Dark Angels army. I play Deathwatch, GeneStealers, and have a good Hive of still on the sprue Tyranids, However I currently have enough extra unpainted Space Marines That I won't use for Deathwatch that I can add a Repulsor and a Few Epic Hero Characters to make a good sized Army for either faction. I still Think I'm learning toward Dark Angels a bit as they have some cool knightly aesthetic and good Terminators.
All this video achieved was just making me love Adepta Sororitas more. Picked up my faction basically at random just loving the aesthetic and now learning to also love them as a versatile faction on the battlefield.
@@ChristianVonCarmian40kVtuber They made Rogal Dorn the most iron-willed Primarch for good reason, he had to paint yellow models for his tactical planning board across decades. Truly Indomitable.
I originally got Orks because they seemed fun but god losing most of my army running up the board wasn't fun. Currently looking at Sister and Gene Cult
4:37 - as a Nid enjoyer, weird not really. All but the first 2 mentioned aliens (and GSC to a degree) were revamped post SC1. Also Ultralisk figures make for a great centerpiece OoE.

What the death guard aren’t is tough, if anything they are currently a horde army and if the rumour that they are going to be among the last codexes of 10th edition they going to remain a horde army for a while to come.
Thanks for the video, man. I'll admit, I'm still a bit unsure of what I wanna play, as I tend to be really picky with what I like. Though something that I've noticed about myself is that I always go for the chonkiest and slowest things in other games. I also tend to play very defensively, anchoring myself to one position for a while. I thought I'd wanna go with tau, but it seems they're all about hyper mobility, and not super big looking units. Honestly, I'm just not really sure which faction to try.
@@ChristianVonCarmian40kVtuber I just like how they're metal lol. That and they have some cool vehicles and giant robots. They also have pretty big guns with stuff like the heavy locust destroyer. I have Nids because I had nearly enough models for an army in 1992 thanks to owning Space Hulk and Advanced Space Crusade, I added on a Hive Tyrant, Lictor, extra 3 Giraffe neck Nids, 2 Biovores, and 6 Spore Mines, and a 2 Carnifexes... And I had a Spare Hive Tyrant who'd been setup differently with twin Boneswords and a Deathspitter (No Longer Legal - so I'm converting him) Then found myself getting Obliterated a lot. So I made a 1500 pnt Space Wolves army with Logan Grimnar leading 6 Wolfguard Terminators with Storm Shields, 4 of whom had Assault Cannons. Plus Bjorn and an Iron Priest. Fast forward to a few years ago? I felt like playing again whilst we were on 9th. I added the Space Marine Terminators from Space Hulk and some randome odd Terminators I'd acquired in the 90s to make a 10 man Wolfguard Terminator Squad. I made a Scout Squad with Sniper rifles out of the Scouts that came with Advanced Space Crusade and I modded a badly painted 90s Tactical Squad I'd had knocking about since circa 1992 into Grey Hunters. And I started collecting Sisters. I played a few games of 9th and we've played a few games of 10th, but I need to get more Sisters finished. I love the faction but they are SO slow to paint nicely. For 10th I made the Spare Wolfguard Terminators Pack Leaders who could go with the other Squads and I also kitbashed a squad of Las Cannon Long Fangs for 9th, then added an extra one for 10th and made the remaining Scouts into a 10 Man Sniper Squad with a Missile Launcher and a 5 man Wolf Scout Squad with Shotguns and Heavy Bolter. The rules for 10th to me, have a good aspiration - but I feel like they were released before they'd been sufficiently play tested and proof-read.
you have really cool armies! I mostly like the 10th edition rules and in a lot of cases they are much easier to understand than 9th edition but they did need more playtesting which only happened once released
@@ChristianVonCarmian40kVtuber haha! Thanks! Not sure they’re very competitive though. The Space Wolves seem the toughest but outside of the Scouts they lack fast mobility. Because it gives me the excuse to make spooky scary Ghost Rider versions of all of my favorite Space Marine characters
@ChristianVonCarmian40kVtuber that's true, too. But I just use current Astartes rules for them. This just lets me swap out chapter specific things. They're "regular space marines," just they look spooky, and when I'm done, will have oodles of fire all over.
