    Absolutely stunning content! Seriously I haven’t seen this high quality in-depth content on live monitors like this. Absolutely what I was looking for! Thank you!

    Running four LED displays, but went IPS on the last monitor I bought. Uses more power, but it's considerably brighter with more real life colors, so worth it to me. Been using it as my primary display.
    PS, I'm not ready for the $1700 class monitors. Not yet. Paid just under $250 for it.

      I hear ya. Expensive production tools are ready to get work done / optimize workflow.. but if you’re on a budget, there’s way more important things to put that money towards.

    Dope review man, was definitely what I was looking or in comparing the both 15.6 and 21 inch monitors. I've been in the market for a director's monitor but smallhd is way too expensive, so "this is the way."

    Hi 'Tommy. Thanx for the video and info. Just got my own monitor and looking for a Multicam option, since it has all the outputs but haven't been able to find out how to have more than one cam on display at a time. Is it possible? Thanx again 🙂

    The Feelworld LUT7 7 Inch is 2200nit Ultra Bright 3D Lut Touch Screen, but a 21 inch would be very useful

    This is a weird question but I’m looking for a production monitor for on set as well as at my studio for vertical video, currently I have a 5” monitor on its side, will this do that or will it properly show vertical video or be sideways. I hope that makes sense, thanks!

    Have you had any scaling issues with this monitor? I've noticed when running a camera through the HDMI input that it crops the outer pixels in the frame around 5% or so. So the image appears more "zoomed in" that it actually is. Ever run into this?

    Good review. I got this monitor recently and like it a lot. But they want $80 for the tiny cheese plate that fits on the back. That is very high, considering you can get similar cheese plates for about $7 at small rig. Have you found a 3rd party cheese plate which will fit on the back of this monitor? Would love to avoid spending the $80. Need to mount a video receiver.

    I found when I look at the screen close up there is noticeable noise...even when exposed correctly. Is that normal in an HD Production monitor? Image is good etc..just wondering about that noise...which seems non-exposure related if that makes sense.

  • @LensVid

    Great review Tommy :)
    I can't help but feel that at this point we need to start seeing 4K production monitors of this size or even larger at sub $2000.
    We shoot 4K and at our studio, we just use a quality 27" calibrated monitor as a production monitor - yeah it doesn't have the same features as a production monitor - but it is calibrated, larger and 4K and I can always loop it with a smaller monitor that has all those features when we need them.

    • @TommyCallaway
      @TommyCallaway  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve thought the same thing for awhile - but most of the wireless transmitters I have access to and even the Atem mini devices max out at 1080p, so the rest of the tech also needs to catch up, which is why I’m less concerned about it for now

    • @LensVid
      @LensVid 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TommyCallaway For what you do I agree 100% - it makes no sense at this point. But we shoot commercial work in the studio both stills and video and critical focus is the most important thing for us (as well as colors of course and general composition). I would love to get a 27" 4k production monitor - but I don't want to spend many thousands of dollars when I can just use a quality computer monitor. There some inexpensive 4K production monitors (most if you look at B&H are exactly the same under different brands) but I am not sure that they will give me better quality than the monitor I have now (maybe worst) and for what we do at the moment - the monitoring tools are just not that important (and as I said we can get them by connecting another monitor in a loop or even using the fantastic Hollyland app with a wireless transmitter on our tablet).

    • @TommyCallaway
      @TommyCallaway  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, for me - the value is in having it be v mount powered and usb power out.. also hella bright. Soooo useful!

    • @LensVid
      @LensVid 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TommyCallaway v-mount power is certainly nice - our monitor stand also has a computer connected to it so having the monitor powered by v-mount will not make the whole rig wireless anyway. We will do a studio tour at some point in our new studio and this rig as well. It is more like a mobile computer station than just a rolling monitor stand at this point.
