- A United Boeing 737-900, performing flight UA-381 from Washington Dulles, DC to Austin, TX (USA), was on final approach to Austin's runway 36R when the crew initiated a go-around reporting a flaps issue and requesting delay vectors.
The aircraft climbed back to 3000 feet and entered a holding for about 30 minutes. The aircraft subsequently landed on the longest runway available, runway 36L, at a slightly higher than normal speed (165 knots over ground) and after landing requested emergency services to check their brakes.

IMPORTANT:
This video is all about education. It's designed to give aspiring pilots and air traffic controllers a taste of real-world situations through example scenarios and helpful info. But that's not all! Current pilots and controllers can also benefit by listening to real radio communications from around the globe. This helps them stay sharp and think about how they might handle similar situations.
To create these videos, I keep my ear to the ground on major aviation news and events. I check the dates and time zones to see if I can find recordings of the radio conversations. Then, I become a bit of a broken record myself, listening to them repeatedly to create subtitles and identify key moments. Finally, I whip up some animations (or grab them from ADS-B websites) and combine them into a neat package.

Great video and great work by all.
Thank you!
This is starting to get excessive!! Glad I'm done flying!!
Flaps get stuck all the time. Pretty minor thing around these parts.
Boeing quality aircraft 🔥
Every incident with a Boeing made aircraft is sure to make the news, even if it is a maintenance or piloting issue. Too funny!
What is the 'sensor' that checked the brakes?
infrared heat gun, gives the temp of the brakes.
SOPs At least it wasn't a flapless landing..
More Mx issues from United , become a regular
737-900 is not a MAX
@@BlueSkyUp_EU mx is airline code for maintenance not max
@@Hot1765 Ty! Didn't know that and it makes sense now.
Sequencing emergency aircraft 🤦🏻♂️
Boeing days are almost over
I encourage people to fly on Russian built planes or airbus safest
which Russian planes can you find in the West? HAHA
United plus Boeing seems to be a recipe for a disaster in the waiting
I guess you just started looking at these type of incidents. Flaps issues are quite common. Nothing new or out of the norm here.
Yea, there’s been no Airbus issues recently. LOL!
