In this video I install Takata drift racing harnesses. Overall not that hard of an install so anyone should be able to do this how to, but the harnesses help a ton on the track. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
this is the only video i could find that showed exactly 100% what i was looking for, thanks!
tyler Burton glad it was helpful!
Cool this was helpful thanks I didn't know where to both them in the back seat without the roll cage bar
Thank you very much. I will remove the back seats to install the rear belts and then place the seat back and see what happens. Very nice video.
thank you so much for this information. because my car is have a bucket seat but i don't know how to intalling that seat belt. so this video is really helping :)
thanks for this bro
Looks great!
Thanks!
good job man it looks good too
Yeah, love how they look!
looking pretty dope
Thanks!
Thank you good video
Great video! I am about to install my harness on my evo x and was wondering how would I disable the seatbelt chime and seatbelt light? Sorry it's a dumb question :/
There may be a fuse for the chime
safety first👍👍👍
Hey man nice video! What kinda mounts are on the seats and how did you mount thoes on the rail?
I have the same seats and I'm searching for a solution
Will this work on a g35
Hah im here again. I just have a question, Do you think a 6'5 guy would fit in a S14 WITHOUT the sun roof. I read that by bolting the seat to the floor should be enough and some say that I can fit in without any modding. thx
6'5 would be a stretch. At 6'2 and a helmet I rub the ceiling constantly
Is it possible to still have the rear seats available or do you really need to get rid of them to install the harness? I would still like to have my rear seats :/
Yeah, you can install a harness bar and then you can keep the rear seats I believe! I would look up the best way to install a harness bar.
I have no memory of commenting on this video and now I come back 5 years later looking for the same tutorial haha! x) Thank you again for this video

Car is coming together nicely 👍 I'm actually visiting San Francisco next week! Recommend any cool places to visit? 😀
Oh awesome! What are you visiting for? You should check out Pagan Idol if you like run bars :)
+240SF just looked it up, we are staying in union square so it's near by 👍 thanks man, San Fran is the starting point of our highway 1 road trip, finishing in Las Vegas 3 weeks later, excited isn't the word 😀
That is awesome! That will be fun! If you like Boba, check out Boba Guys in Union square too!
+240SF never had a boba guys, I'll add it to the list! Sounds like an awesome city, when's your next drift track day coming up?
Not totally sure when my next drift day is. Need to fix a few things like power steering, and an axle so I don't want to schedule it now and then get crunched for time. Will post on insta when I schedule my next one though!
Are the harnesses mounted at too much of an angle from his shoulders? Looks like they go directly down to the floor.
Jason Parraga I believe so. Best to use a harness bar of some sort to be safe
This works in a honda accord 2005?
One can tell that this channel will be huge in about a year or so
:) Thanks!
Guess not
hey man just stumbled on your channel but i have a question is it posible to use this exact harness with a harness bar?
Yeah these would be great with a harness bar! Probably safer :)
ah ok man thanks currently looking into getting these. i have a 370z and i wonder if i can use the aluminum bar thats behind the seats as a harness bar lol
you need a harness bar When mounting shoulder belts to a roll cage or harness bar, the optimal angle of the belts (from the horizontal plane) is between 0° and 20° downwards from the top of the occupants’ shoulders or seat backWhen mounting shoulder belts to a roll cage or harness bar, the optimal angle of the belts (from the horizontal plane) is between 0° and 20° downwards from the top of the occupants’ shoulders or seat back opening. www.speedhunters.com/2014/06/takata-ask-the-expert-answers/ ..................... Greetings, what is the function of crossing the belts in the back of the seat?
Honestly, no idea. I don't remember if I saw that in the manual or not...
45’?? Why?
are those the drift II? or III?
2
That looks awfully close to 45 hahaha, Just buy a 4 point cage, it'll improve handling / chassis rigidity as well :)
😬 Would probably want to go full cage if I did any cage so I can tandem at my local track
Are these legal for street use?
Yeah it’s just a upgrade for a seatbelt technically
Next big mod should be steering angle. You're totally entitled for one bro
Would love to do that!
I can see you on your laptop
Can I install those Whit stock seats
if they have the 2 holes near the neck
Does anyone in this comment section see a big red flag if he's just installing were the back seatbelt was originally at and that could mess up your spine if u get in a accident
You definitely have to double check the angles of the seat belt to make sure it is within spec of what the manufacturer says.
thanks for following on insta! (@allmyt1)
you do know 4 point harnesses are not that safe and you are more likely to submarine in a 4 point in an accident than with the factory 3 point you need that strap that goes between the legs to prevent submarining in a harness or get an anti submarining 4 point
For most 4 point harnesses that is the case. With the Takata ones they have a break away portion that lengthens one side of the shoulder belts that helps to not submarine. BisforBuild just did a recent video on it here that explains it pretty well: th-cam.com/video/bFTLCxASQvY/w-d-xo.html
These belts are anti-submarining 4 points.
+240SF oh ok O knew about the anti submarining strap but was not aware of Takata having it on there 4 point harness. thats good to know and great vid
Thanks!
please do not install your harnesses like this... you will never pass tech for any serious motorsport for good reason. it is unsafe in a big crash.
