I’m 76 and we can always learn something new. I’ve been quilting for 50 years and about 4 years ago started pressing all my seams open and what a difference it makes. Blocks are perfectly flat. Nice podcast!
re half square triangles: ohhhh, just draw one line vertical middle, one line diagonally, another line on the other diagonal and one line horizontal. I think I got it. but not sure where to sew and then cut. OH! y'all gonna give it another try on Monday? sweet!! I will wait and watch that video. cool! thank you
Wish I had watched this before I sewed my red half squared triangles! Since my back surgery, I can only work in short time spans. I am not in pain, but I really think they beat me in surgery, I am very sore!

regarding the half square triangles, I am totally confused. I am in a whole lot of laughter, even though I haven't a clue how to do this. But, if Missouri star does it, I can go there and look for it. It sounds like a time saver! I absolutely love my time on your channel cuz you are so real!! Love you

Hi Becky. Thought your easy 8 was a new method. Lucky I only tried it on Blah fabric. Then laughed and laughed. We all make mistrakes. Mistakes are growth. I am 77 and learn so much from you. Blessings and grace to you and Keith. May he recover soon.
For the 8 at a time you sew on the both sides of the lines on the diagonal only. Then cut between the lines and also cut the cross north to south and east to west.

Yep that’s something I would do you make me feel good that Iam not the only one that can do this but I just move on try to learn from my mistakes but sometimes it takes a few times but I just love to sew you make my day so thank you
I'm sorry I cannot watch in the mornings right now. I lost my husband on June 14th. He would watch with me sometimes. I am watching later now. This is the 2nd time I have been able to do this. I still can't sew, quilt, oe embroidery yet.

If you are making Hourglass blocks the math is going to be different than if you are doing just half square triangles.

Glad Frito was good with the fireworks. I had to fish Buddy out of the closet and finally had to sedate him to get through the night. Then, on top of all that the house alarm went off twice! 3am and 5am.

I wish houses came with pools in the uk, but the only ones that do come with pools are millionaires houses lol
Fortunately, here in the States, pools don't have to be expensive. There are several different types of permanent pool installations and you can do whichever is best for your budget. Where an in-ground pool can cost upwards of $100kUS, we have what is called an 'above-ground' pool which is infinitely more affordable. The cost to purchase and install the pool was about $5k and then my husband built a beautiful deck around it. That all happened over 10 years ago and if you take care of them, they will last for years and years. We are very DIY around here so if we can do something ourselves to have what we want, but yet save money, we do. That's one of the reasons I married a man who is handy with tools and making things. Also in the US, we have the space for pools. Most places in the populated areas of the UK don't have the yards large enough to support swimming pools. I live where the average temp 9 months of the year is over 90 degrees for months on end. A pool is almost a necessity or you'll die of heat stroke after mowing the grass! lol
