Becky, I saw the chenille demonstration on the Carol DuVall show on HGTV back in the early 80’s but she used a pair of specially made scissors which detoured me from wanting to make it/ sore fingers if you made very much!!
The Robert Kaufman quilt calculator app is way easier to use than the calculator you showed. I use it all the time. It is always in my hand at a quilt store because it's on my phone it is always with me. And it is free.
I measure my quilt and use pen and paper and calculator. Lol I figure how many strips I need to cut and how much fabric I need the old fashion way. Keeps my brain sharp.
