    • @texasyojimbo
      @texasyojimbo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@engu1348 may be a regional or historical thing.
      In the United States, typically a gulf is larger than a bay,.
      For example, the Gulf of Mexico has several much-smaller bays (for example, Matagorda Bay, Galveston Bay, Mobile Bay, Tampa Bay).
      The Gulf of Maine also has smaller bay (Bay of Fundy, Penobscot Bay, Massachusetts Bay).
      The Gulf of Alaska has several smaller bays, such as Yakutat Bay, although most of the larger bays are called something else (Cook Inlet, Prince William Sound, etc.).
      Although it is in Mexico, the Gulf of California has smaller Bahias (bays) like Bahia Concepcion.
      Really, the only super-large bay in North America is probably Hudson Bay. Most bays are relatively small (less than 100 km in longest dimension), like Narragansett Bay or Atchafalaya Bay or San Diego Bay..

    • @texasyojimbo
      @texasyojimbo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@engu1348 of course yes there is the geographical quirk that the Gulf of Mexico is mostly surrounded by the United States, and the Gulf of California is entirely surrounded by Mexico. :-p

    Bays are formed when Michael Bay gets his hands on explosives. That’s why they’re called bays.

    Interesting.
    But now im confused, why is the gulf of mexico not called "bay of mexico" instead? It resembles a bay way more than it recembles a gulf.
    Then there's alson in Argentina a place called "bahia blanca" which means literally "white bay" and is pretty much literally a gulf based on the descriptions you gave on the video. It's really confusing.

    Not formed millions of years ago, Australian aborigines came from India 4000 years ago and their languages are only 4000 years old, agree mighty plate tectonics formed what we see, but it was when the fountains of the deep opened as well was a cause, it is logical what the power of a volcano the size of Britain ( tamu massif ) alone would have catastrophically done to the land. !!!!
