This is a life changing advise. I have been producing for eight years now. Making beats, recording, mixing and mastering but never been intensively educated in this manner. It high time the music money comes in bro. God bless u❤
I been hearing a lot of the same cut-and-dry stuff - “post every day”, “stick to a specific niche”, and etc. This video is a welcome change of pace! Practical and refreshing advice for aspiring producers like myself. Thanks Chambers!
You're a Godsend bro! Don't know what I'd do without your help. Definitely going to be getting that masterclass soon. May the Higher Power continue to use you as a vessel to bless others.
hi chambers!, im the one that wrote that really inspiring message on twitter for you. im here to tell you that i am thankful for everything you do, you mix knowledge with humor and i love it. you are one of the first people to actually be able to teach me anything. thank you❤
thanks a lot bro im a 16 year old producer and is trying to make living out of producing in the future. Ive only been producing for like 6 months so I still need a bit more practice before I start selling beats but this advice is definitely something I can see myself using in the future 🔥
Glad I have that common sense, n mindset as a beginner. I’ve started for few mths now, once I got it, got the gist I was like…this gona take time patience and commitment. I’m still not thinking no where on putting a price…just learn n build. Great advice you give 👍

yo this type of video coming from you is so helpful!! Do you think you could make more videos just talking and giving advice like this? If not on yt, maybe on the class? 😂
I'm not a producer but I'm getting a electric piano in a few months just a cheap one, I think watching this will help and advise me to do it more, much love❤
I've been using SoundCloud for years and when I tell you you can really build relationships and notoriety among up and coming artists. Just me always reposting their music on IG stories and tagging them got them to notice I fuck with them and they fuck fuck with me. Now that I've started to produce and been posting on my story. I've gotten some of their attention. But my production isn't at the level that I would feel comfortable sending them anything. I'm such a massive self critic lol.
Yall one thing to keep in mind, don't make beats for the purpose of making money. Make the beats to work with others or just to make them and the money will stream in the moment you stop caring about it.
Hey bro, I'm in the process of selling my first beat pack. We agreed to 50$ for 5 beats and they're using it for a snowboarding video. At what point do I get a contract involved? If I'm not selling until a artist is uses it commercially, do I even need a lease contract?
(Have another question) What if I lets say sold mutliple times non exclusive leases on the same beat ,but one day someone wants to purchase it at exclusive rights, what next? The rest artists who have bought non exclusive leases before needs to delete their songs or what? Im really curious what if that happen
Let them know you done sold it multiple times, if that’s cool with them then sell the exclusive and then don’t sell the beat again. Long as you discuss that with the artist and they cool with it
I just made my first few sales, any growth ideas you’d suggest? I haven’t done any content yet but that’s on the calendar. Appreciate your content! Supporting you as much as I can, keep going♥️
Do you make an agreement with the customers or a contract? Mp3 could be ripped from Soundcloud or TH-cam for example. Also maybe several artist could have releases with the same beat? How do you handle it?
@@Mr2electric my beats aren’t on TH-cam or SoundCloud. You’d be sending tagged snippets. You can make a small agreement if you want. Doesn’t matter if 100 people lease the same beat. Unless someone buys the exclusive anyone can buy it
Appreciate the great vid bro, just one question tho, what do you do if you came to an agreement on a price and you send over the beat, but they end up not paying? I know it’s probably smth you can’t really help me wit, but idk who else to ask
I have a sincere question. What if you sold the same beat multiple times and the artist wants to be the sole owner of that beat. How does that work? Licensing and all that..??
so many rappers are fake they told me theyd record on it it would be done its been over a year another mf said yeah we gone throw some beats on at the studio tonight never did they all just lie and i can rap better than most of em is the sad part
I've made 150usd per month the last few months, only on 600 subs currently, it gives me motivation to think i can make that to 1500usd once i have a bigger following
@@ChambersOnIt Any other tips you can think of? I've got a pro beat stars account but haven't made an official page/site i see people use to sell their beats (the one within beatstaars i think) Also was thinking to give out free beats (non profit) for email list type thing... hmm
Alright so my question is kinda dumb. But when you’re making and selling beats to people, you can’t send the same beat to multiple people right? I’m pretty sure that’s unethical but I just wanna understand xD

Thanks for the tips! How do you make sure you get royalties and credit from beats they release songs with on streaming services?
You can create a simple agreement about what you want to give to the artist
@@ChambersOnIt And create a contract we both sign? or is that not even necessary?

Do you think 16 months for around 2 hours a day is enough experience on average to start selling?
It’s not so much about hitting a certain amount of time. It’s about the quality of the music you’re making

Some $25 mic off Amazon 😭 had it for minute

I have a sincere question. What if you sold the same beat multiple times and the artist wants to be the sole owner of that beat. How does that work? Licensing and all that..??
They’d need to purchase the exclusive license of the beat to be the only owner, those generally cost a lot more than a standard lease
