I, also have a Laguna Initiale, but the 1.8L 1999, and has the male voice, same as Safrane's! One time I gave the car to my brother and the guy starting mumbling about the battery, my brother couldn't stop laughing. I kinda like the dude, it's more personal than a blinking light on a huge screen. Really love this car.
Welcome.... The vehicle computer is now checking systems for you. To obtain the required temperature, switch on the air conditioning. Drove one of these as a daily for 17 years. Best car I've ever owned. Just a great car in every way. P. S You can turn him off at the switch of a button for those who haven't had the pleasure of owning or driving a Safrane.
Amazing! What a thoroughly easy to understand and particularly well spoken young man in the dashboard. Today's would be some roadman oik, youth. Door's open init blud, u get me fam?
Ha! You have to love the cheeriness of the seatbelt message. A very jovial encouragement to belt up. I'd like this guy to deliver bad news - he has a good manner.
Ive enjoyed then sadly had to scrap 6 Safranes. The kids loved this voice alert. I did change one synthesiser to to the French language voice alerts - much more European & sexier 🤣
I like the way it says 'not closed' rather than 'open'.
Waffle, innit.
Whenever i hear that, i think Holly Johnson's going to start belting out Two Tribes!
Yep, me too!
hope these Voice Synthesizers have a comback!
Clearer than the voice in the MG Mestro.
Perhaps, although Nicolette has a nicer voice!
My 2002 Laguna II 3.0 V6 Initiale said all the same things, but in a female voice.
I think a female voice would be more soothing, especially if something terrible is about to happen.

17 years is a long stint - fair play!
@@Petrolblog Wish I could buy a new one today. Better than any of the new trash the manufacturers are producing. Look after yours. 😎👌
Ha. Quite. Fully intend to keep this one on the road for as long as possible. @@johnfolly1988
Can you change the language? Mine is in German

Yes, has that 'What to do in a nuclear attack' public service announcement feel!
I should make some audio out of it.
It would be so much cooler if cars today had these voices in them.
Agreed. Although in a modern Land Rover, I doubt he'd ever shut up.
As a 12 year old this was the stuff that dreams were made of... I haven't changed at 42 😂
Ha. 'Talking dashboards' still feel like something from the future!
make more of this is so interesting how the french car talks!
Will do.
Brilliant. Sounds like Zen from Blakes 7!
Yes!
Needs more Patrick Allen.
Amen to that.
It doesn't sound like voice synthseizer, I think it is recorded speech.
Ordinateur de bord ❤❤❤❤ safrane ماشاء الله اريد أن ابعث لك فيديو للصفران خاصتي وهي تتكلم❤❤❤
Please do.
The height of French technology! Long before the Japanese got involved in Renault
Did he used to do the football results on his days off?
Haha. He'd do a fine job of that!
Did you get those Renault 25 alloys? Haha, sounds brilliant. Does it have the radio with the graphic equalizer?
No, not yet, but they're on my watchlist. Alas, no graphic equaliser, but I'd love to fit one.
@Petrolblog
Those big head units with the CD player, tape deck, and graphic equalizer looked great, lots of buttons to play with.
The voice in the R25 had a lisp. It was funny.
Cool to see in someone else's car. It would drive up the wall after a few days. I get annoyed with the sat nav. Maybe I'm just odd.
Haha. To be fair, there is an off button. It's better to live in blissful ignorance and assume that all is okay with your French barge.
My Vel Satis has the same, but it's a rather well spoken woman, that I call 'Cynthia'.
This voice sound like a 1950s news reporter!
It's a woman in France, so I'm not sure why they chose a man for the English versions. Attempting to find out.
Stop posting these safrane videos! My eBay finger is getting worn out, safrane is top of my search list😂
Does that make me an influencer?
I hope not...
I would have enjoyed a comedy French accent more…
That could be arranged...

Would love to know how to do that...
