I bought a brand new 2014 with the 1.8 because I was afraid of the Turbo. I was careful to get the 6 speed manual. I've never owned an automatic. I know that if a manual is driven carefully they will last much longer than the automatics for lots of reasons. It is now almost 2023 and I have had no issues at all except last winter in -35 C my check engine light came on. I had it checked out, and they told me that it was a timing issues. It was running perfectly and they told me to just ignore it, and it would probably go off and not cause any problems. This winter it has not come on, and I have my fingers crossed. I love this car!
It’s funny you say that, just yesterday I got a trade in at the dealership I work for. It’s a 2011 Cruze 1.8 manual. The car had close to 170k miles and drove impeccably. The original window sticker was in the car, MSRP (shipping included) $16,995. What happened to nice cheap cars?!
Just bought myself the exact same car & I’m looking at reviews & so far this ones showed me the most. Thanks. I love it so far, do wish it had a little more power.
I’ve had mine for a year and a half now. That’s my only complaint too, needs a little more power. After driving most of its competition, this is one of the best in its class.
I have the same exact car and I absolutely love it. I have a couple mods and added features on to it. Now it’s at home with higher rpms and loves to go fast
I got a cold air intake, down pipe custom exhaust msd racing ignition coil, and a zzp tune. I’m getting more done to it. But then I just got the lane departure warning and a kicker system. It’s got navigation and all the fun stuff. It’s pricey but so worth it. People don’t believe it’s a Cruze at first when I take it to the meets. I’m also planning on keeping it until it gets totaled which hopefully never happens.
@@johnvarnes2457 Its a Chevy cruze dude. Your car and you can do what you want but I'm just telling you you're dumping your money into a car nobody will care about and modding an engine which in no way, shape, or form was built for performance. Theres a reason why its called the "ECOtec"

I've had my 2015 LTZ almost a week now. Mine has alot of nice features. I think it's best feature is it's handling/steering. I'm still undecided on the fuel efficiency. Hard to tell because of the a/c running alot. Overall, I like it though. The driver's seat could be more comfortable. Some cheap interior plastics. It's not fast, but is somewhat quick at times.
Such a Great car…The diesel version of this one is called the “Diesel Rocket” in India. Unfortunately Chevy has stopped production in India so i enjoy your video from Canada 👍🏻
I just bought one myself and it is a fun car I plan on making a few aftermarket mods of course and decent exhaust and k&n air filter for her but I enjoy it

I had this year as well, same year black in color. It was a cool, fun car. I didn't ha e 18" wheels though. Looks sooooooo much better with the 18" wheels. Nice car, thx for the upload
Looks like a great little car , I have my eye on a platinum white 15 2lt , trading in my 2011 ford focus ses with 102.000 miles , hopefully if I end up with the Cruze it'll be just as good if not better than my focus has been . Awesome review video .
I have the same vehicle but it’s a manual with slightly less features. I think Chevrolet should have made a trim that is closer to 200hp, and a coupe version since it replaced the Cobalt to make it more appealing in the tuner scene.
Got a little question i just got one 2015 was wondering about the Drive on it . says there are two drives.. and i see a icon lit up T/C on the dash board, should that be on . also yours does that clicking sound when its running is that just the normal. sound the belt or just the kind of engine ? Thanks Excellent video you did ~
I grabbed my girlfriend and rainforest green one with the cookie dough interior (brown and cream). Only 65k miles. only feature it’s missing is the back up sensors. Yet it has the camera.
Where can I get the rear disc conversion kit for my Cruz, Mine is sold as the 2015 as an LTZ according to the vin, but seems like a fully loaded LT to me. I think the dealer fucked me.

nice review! Ive been looking into buying a pre-owned car as a teenager and so far I like this. Does this model have start/stop technology? If so, how do you feel about it?
It does not have start/stop, which I am thankful for. Although the car I have now does have it and it’s very seamless and works well, I don’t like the idea of it. It does save you on gas (a few mpg better on average on my daily commute) however I’ve heard this system is prematurely wearing on your battery and starters. Great first car though, I loved it!

Yes, an SS version would have been pretty fun. That what I would have bought.
I have the Holden Cruze version with Diesel engine and the same alloy wheels only difference the Holden is Australian made

If you get the paint code and google it then you will find out which color it is.
According to the code it’s called Berlin Blue, but according to the sales brochure it’s called Blue Ray. Strange.
