Best instructor with the best swing on TH-cam - Period !
Appreciate it :)
Have to say this channel is the one I watch the most. The feels and instructions are fantastic.
Thank you Scott!!
Your videos are always just what I’m needing! I’m a beginner girl and I struggle a bit because I used to do ballet so I’m almost too flexible but I watch your videos everyday and I’ve seen a huge improvement. I hit 85 with my 7 iron the other day which I’m so proud of, I haven’t done it since but I’ll get there. Thank you Eric!
Love to hear that!! Hope they continue to serve you well :)
Finally. Debunking the “keep your head down” mantra. Along with the video you did on the back shoulder puts key pieces together. Thanks.
:)
Amazing that lesson after lesson Eric continues with never ending enthusiasm, consistently great production quality, and a teaching style which is simply the best. I think the greatest golf coach out there!!
Appreciate the kinds words :)
Exactly what a golf coach told me to focus on. Nice to get this video clarifying it even further.
Love it!
Thanks Eric, please we also need a grip size video... grips relatable lessons.. like, is there 'the' right way to hold the grip .. tru backswing downswing... etc. if we can t get that right it is going to be hard to do a good on plane swing, at least i'm struggling with that for months
Good one!
Another great lesson, Eric. Exactly what I needed to fix my low lefty with the longer clubs.
Thanks!! Hope it serves you well!
Using my rapsodo I was able to determine this was my (one of my) issues exactly. Will give this feel a try, have not been able figure out how to keep my head back yet. Great lesson thanks!
Hope this helps!
Head back over ball line is MAINLY from EXTENSION (chest up) with hips forward and trail shoulder DOWN
This one should help step by step as well:

Super nice bit of knowledge of the golf swing- thanks Keith from California
Thanks Keith!
thank you very much for this video, it helps me a lot 🎉🎉🎉
Our pleasure!!
Great stuff as usual from you.always enjoy your work.
Thanks Rick!!
Great video. Reinforces what I’ve been working on. My next video coming soon.
Thanks Steve!
great explanation
Thanks!
70 yesterday and 72 today keeping this move in mind. You might try teaching golf, youre pretty good at these tips.
Excellent! Lol love it
This is awesome. Thank you.
Thank you!
Great stuff as always.
Thanks Brian!
Love this one
Thanks Gunnar!
Nice! Just what Im currently working on!
Hope this helps!
@@CogornoGolf Your Videos always help!
Have no doubt this is good, correct advice. But it’s a lot easier said than done when you are a somewhat overweight 83 year old, even if you have played for over 60 years and practice a lot. For me, the things that produce good shots are posture at address (in particular leaning just a tiny bit forward over the ball and keeping that spine angle as I turn my shoulders in the backswing), getting my weight on to my left (lead) leg, and keeping my head back behind the ball. I also am trying to keep my left arm straighter in the backswing as the camera in the PGA Superstore practice bay shows it’s easy to unconsciously let the left arm bend or buckle. Also tell my self to reach back to widen the backswing, keeping the hands away from the shoulder, which goes along with that straighter left arm. Almost a sensation of throwing the club back and away. Make the backswing start a little faster in a more free flowing movement (following the instructions Dr Kwon gives players) that encourages a full turn back and a tiny pause at the top as the club changes direction and begins the downswing. Keeping the shoulders still turned back as the downswing begins so the clubs comes down in the slot from inside and not over the top. And keeping my left wrist bowed slightly. This is a lot to think about but it becomes more natural with repetition and practice. And if I get all this right or nearly right, I find my hips seem to rotate open without conscious effort. But what I find nearly impossible is to get fully into the position you show with chest up to the sky, shoulders tilted, hips forward and head bent back. Just trying this in my living room now makes it pretty clear my spine won’t flex that much. I can easily touch my toes even with fingers bent, so am fairly flexible for my age. It’s the backward bend that feels hard. Will have to take videos to get a better idea of how I actually move.
Hey John! Thanks for watching and the feedback!!
MY HOMIE THIS IS GOLDEN! LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN..... GOLDEN!
Haha thanks Tony!!
Another banger!
Thanks :)
Shot 74 yesterday, averaging 77 right now. The work is starting to pay off.
Love it-Nice playing!
Brilliant as always Eric.. thanks again from your cousin over the pond 🏌️♂️
Appreciate it!
With this move how do you hit a fade?
Hey! Make sure the path is left and the face is slightly open to that (many ways to get that done)
Ya....even if I'm making ok contact, the big difference between a fabulous hit...and a passable hit...is both being in balance...whipping through contact...and coming down and through with my trailing shoulder. The rest actually takes care of itself, in regard to neck, head and chest. They automatically fall into position when you make the shoulder coming down and through pronounced. For accuracy, the key part is timing of the body swivel...and the club contact. It's too easy to not have a clear target in mind when swinging through.
Thats great!
Johnny Miller was vilified for his reverse C golf swing. Would love to see Johnny’s swing attached to this lesson!
exactly my problem. I've been struggling to overcome this since winter.
Hope this one helps :)
@@CogornoGolf trying it in my simulator now. It is definitely a new body movement for me, but it really gets my body turning through the swing whereas before I kept getting stuck on a lot of swings. Seems to have immediately added about one club distance to my mid irons
Annika Sorenstam said thirty years ago that the head needs to rotate thru impact
100%!
For rh golfers, which arm dominates the swing
Hey Randy! Thats a great swing and isn't a black/white answer in my mind....longer discussion
Great video but more for scratch golfers then the weekend hakers.
Cheers
Thanks!
Thanks, yes, so important not to keep weight back while keeping head back.
100%
In the end, it's not about paying attention to all these details. Swing thoughts have to be simple. These videos so often are simply over-doing the mind part. There are very simple principles to keep in mind for a great swing....but that doesn't make money for instructors....lol.
If you want to play solid golf, it’s all about proper swing mechanics (the details). Get them right, and practice until you don’t have to think about. Some guys are fine to hack it around with their buddies for 95. Nothing wrong with that if it makes you happy.
@@MB-rh3ym I agree that the details are important, but there is a point where you get things in place...and move on to the next thing. ...and move on to the practice...and getting proper swing aspects absolutely ingrained. The problem with TH-cam...and I see it in friends who keep saying they're confused about all the opinions...is often that people go from one video to another and it often becomes a jumble in their mind, where they feel they are not in control any longer. I think the learning curve has been shortened tremendously by TH-cam, but, at the same time, one has to absolutely have the discipline to shut off the outside world....and think things through for oneself. When an important aspect is in place...and it works, people have to learn to shut off the barrage of info....so they can move to the next part that THEY need to get in place. And then, at a certain point, it's best to just shut it off, if practice is what is needed, rather than obsessing about information. I know I rambled, but hope I made my point. Information overload is not good for golfer improvement.
Hey Joe! Thanks for the thoughts! I hear ya
Too much info is definitely not good......
But if you want to improve your current swing/game...
too little can be just as bad :)
Over my last 15 years of coaching I see lots of golfers out there not thinking about anything who stink and never get any better as much as those who think too much :)
@@CogornoGolf Agree with you, Eric.
