Right up intil i heard it's going to rain a lot, i was favouring Remco. However if it's terrible weather than WvA has the edge on everyone. If the WC road race was held in December in the cold and rain he'd have a plethora of titles.

I just dont see Jasper keeping up with the other favourites on the short climbs, the percentages go up to 20 percent at some point apperently so I dont think the stage is easy enough for him.

He may get dropped on the short climbs, but will he be able to come back on the flats.

The only way he wins is with a sprint finish and there are too many climbs to keep favorites in line.

Positionning at start final will be everything, Philipsen is a master in that. I remember me watching Tour of Utah at night like 5 yeras ago, when Philipsen was totally new to me, riding in Axel Mercxks team in the USA as 19 years old kid, he positioned himself by his own between Pro's on a closed course after some short steep hills every lap and sprinted himself in top 3 on different occasions. Every day I cheared for him and I immidiately saw he will become a great cyclist with a strong sprint. Nobody talked about him in his own country - Belgium even, I had it right ... 2th Paris Roubaix (270k) as a sprinter, don't forget that.

Pog got third without roglic, tratnijk, amd mohoric his 3 best countrymen thats incredible 2 monument winners a world ITT talent and one of strongest riders period. All the haters being contrarions claiming other riders are best all around in world forgetting last 4-5 years got him motivated :) Was like E3 he had no business in that group of 4 but he can race and outsprinted mads like tokyo when he almost nipped wout after close to 300 k. Mathieu was unbeatable today like hes been at amstel strade, roubaix flanders, hes a stud. That same kruisberg attack halfway up climb just when sting sets into opponents. He raced masterclass look forward to him in rainbows hope it means he races more !!

what a race mathieu deserves rainbow like no other same type attack as kruisberg in flanders where dropped wou or in msr this year but with 30 k's to ride out with crash in between thank god his bike was fine because he was motoring. Anyone who wants to have these silly bet rider in world stories for clicks tadej is only GC rider on essentially an F1 course for speedsters to stay with three most powerful men mads, wva vdp in thise conditions and outsprinted mads former world cham in same scenario. No arguments needed just watc races hes most dynamice accross all parcours and distances this was long attritional race and he stayed there. Best worlds since inssbruck, and 89 my all time favorite kelly, fignon, baeur and lemond 3 man sprint. Chapeau Mathieu he deserved this he races so committed and when he targets a race hes incredible!! That was exciting
