Good info, thanks for all you share. As to the date night activity, I can't think of better ways to demonstrate your love of your spouse than to do the things that protect them and improve their lives. There is a valuable lesson here.
I use a mechanical hand crank peeler-corer-rotary slicer for apples. Easy to get out the bad spots once they are processed. The edible parts go in apple sauce or apple pie filling. Skins and the other bits (less bugs, stems, and seeds) go in the crock pot and I cook them down to make apple butter. Get all the "goodie" out of the fruit, and the peeler-corer is hand cranked. Top tip, set it up over a cookie sheet to catch all the juice and keep the mess to a minimum.
I hear you on knowing what’s in your food. I try to buy good quality, but there’s nothing like knowing where the original product came from and what steps I took to prep. One of my best purchases was a canning rack that fits in and gets stored in my stock/pasta pot. I find that I’ll water pack a few jars of jam more often if I don’t need to pull out special tools.
Thanks Kylene and Jonathan ! I collected Comice Pears from trees growing near where I live. I followed a video showing how to bottle them. However the problem was establishing how firm or soft the Comice Pears need to be before cooking and bottling. They're in the fridge as recommended for up to a week. Very new to this and hoping for the best. 😺💚🍀💚😺🍀
the grape vines produced well this year. There are grape spirals. The grapes are juiced rapidly. The grape spiral may also help with the plum pits because of the design. The juice was bottled or frozen for later use. Some was reduced for a grape syrup or jam. I liked your heat to boiling reducing and will try that in the future. Low long reducing alters the flavor of the juice too much. Thanks for your time and information.
An acquaintance of mine from high school said something, which struck me as true...but a little scary. He said: "Autumn is my favorite time of year. The temperatures are cooling off, the leaves are turning colors, and everything is dying." Ummm...see what I mean...?
Well I have two dehydrators same kind I got them at Walmart it's the ones to make jerky but I use it for everything else too I also have a instant pot I use for canning and cooking
I guess I need to continually do it the old fashioned way. 8d rather buy food than a new machine at this point. Great video for those who can afford it. I don't mean to bash anyone; if you can do it, more power to ya! Invite someone to use it with you that can't afford it!! Much faster than my old fashioned way!! Blessings to all 🥰
A tool worth having. Thank you! Moving towards canning and getting extended family excited about doing it together. After processing chickens this year, anything that helps with preserving good in large quantities is a must
I have a Stainless Steel Fruit & Vegetable Steam Juicers that is use for making Juice. Specially Grape, Apple, Plum & Tomato. The some of mush that is leftover is still very favorable and gets processed into Apple Sauce, Plum Sauce and Tomato Sauce. For Fruits & Veggies that are destined to be an "All-in-One" Product like Salsa, Spaghetti Sauce, Blended Frui/Veg Sauces/Purees, I will use the Victoria (brand) Strainer like your Weston Strainer. It truly is a great invention.
We have the Victorio strainer, and a steam juicer that we still use a lot. This year though I've started drying and powdering our tomatoes instead of canning sauce. The flavor is much fresher, and we don't need to use a glass jar to store it (earthquake risk).
@@TheProvidentPrepper They do need to be crispy dry from the dehydrator. I slice them about 1/4" or a little less, and dry @ 130 - 135 overnight typically. I think I've been able to dry for about 6 hours once. Then toss them in our blendtec. They will clump up after powdering them, but I've heard that you can dehydrate them again at a lower temperature for an hour or so to stop the clumping. Haven't tried that yet though.
It's out of stock 😥 I had just received my kitchenaide attachment yesterday and then...I see this. Darn. Hopefully the kitchen aid will still speed up stuff. I have trigger finger, so any help is good help😉. Update: I went ahead and prordered for next time it's in stock. I usually do this kind of processing with my friend, so having two juicers working will speed up the time. What size/ brand generator (?) are you using when the power is out? Please and thank you

I would be lucky if you'd go back to your roots instead of doing more and more advertisement... I understand that you want to earn money, but actually this channel isn't anymore what i fell in love with.

Thanks for the information. I will keep it in mind.
Will get a hand crank one. Can not depend on electricity plus its a good way to cut electric use.
Looks like a great machine!

You say to cook everything before putting through the strainer. Can raw things be put through the strainer?

Got any tips on storing water to drink, in 55 gal barrells? Thanks
I use a food mill
I have to look up food mill? It’s different than what they are using? Thank you
Your videos are always so interesting and provide wonderful information. Thanks!
looks great but they are sold out will have to check back
Love all your videos, God bless
Have you ever tried the strainer with berries such as black berries?
I ordered a machine just like yours thanks for the tip
Awesome thank you 😇🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Can you use the juice to make jelly?
This looks like it works the same way my slow masticating juicer works. I have an Omega. I wonder what the difference is?
Y’all are adorable. Thank you so much for the advice. I tried to order off of your site but they said they were out.

Good review , thanks for sharing , God bless !
MY THEORY IS: ONE IS NONE, TWO IS ONE, THREE IS AWESOME!
One question where did you get this at
And what was the name of this product would love to get me one
Just found out the Berkey water filters are not all they purport to be! Ugh! What other filters do you recommend???

@@Utah_Mike They have a court case going on for claiming their product removes certain carcinogens when it doesn't. I'm not okay with that.
We have a life straw mission and lifestraw family. They work great:)
