What isn't mentioned is that HDL (good) cholesterol levels of the meat eaters was a lot higher than the vegan eaters. Meat eaters supplied meals also contained a lot more cholesterol and salt than when they prepared their own food. Was that deliberate? Meat eaters were put on a high carb diet of 175gm a day. Meat isn't a problem but the combination of meat & high carb is. The study authors are committed vegetarians and it looks like their biases may have affected the study methods and results reporting.
