Oh man, we're gonna get it. I live in Missouri and just a few weeks ago they were saying we would have a warm winter. Now I had to find my arctic sleeping bag, flashlights, etc and trying to figure out how to keep my dog warm because he will not get in the sleeping bag with me.

Awesome video Happy new Year. The NWS put wind alerts for the Northeast coast. ...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM WEDNESDAY TO 10 PM EST THURSDAY... * WHAT...West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 45 to 50 mph expected. Isolated gusts to 55 mph possible late Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening and again during the day Thursday. 😮 WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York. * WHEN...From 3 PM Wednesday to 10 PM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will blow down scattered tree limbs. A few trees and power lines could be downed, with power outages possible. Unsecured objects and decorations will be blown around and/or damaged. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects. I will film it.
Lake effect snow warning for Cleveland east(6-10) inces of snow. My area in Cleveland, 2-5 inches of snow. Winds to 35 mph, visibility a quarter mile. 7 AM Wednesday - 7 PM Thursday. Have a safe and happy New Year ! Joey in Cleveland
One thing that has surprised me with the 18Z run of the GFS was shown near 951 mb near New England I think that might be a little too extreme overdone with the modeling if that holds true I don’t think it would be that strong, but we also keep an eye on it because it’s very likely to change going forward. It’s very difficult to forecast something that’s beyond 10 days because the accuracy at that rate is below 40%. But I will say 2024 was the warmest year on record. And the second most costly hurricane season on record let’s just hope 2025 will be nice for once.
The main expected snowstorm is not anticipated there as of now so you weren’t discussed as much as others in the video. If huge snow were expected you would be included more, trust me - Thanks for watching!
@@Cbmountain42 The GFS has been trying to let you have that, but most other guidance isn’t as on board. I’ll keep you updated but don’t get your hopes up!
Maryland getting summer-like thunderstorms right now. Tell the weather it's new years, not 4th of July. It will clear by midnight though for fireworks. Also I like Euro Model, snow line making a beeline straight for Maryland. GFS needs to shift north.
@@ElevaTOURSbyRainMaves It’s winter 2024-2025, I’m not really too worried about the next several ones if I’m being honest. Thanks for watching regardless!
@@SevereStormFilmer Details are broken down better in the video, but it looks like the further you go towards Central and Southern Ohio, the better chance you’ll have for heavy snow and possibly even 8+ inches.
