USC fan here that lives in CA. I was at the game last night. First time in the Raiders stadium, a USC game, and a college game. What a game. Daz was right about the atmosphere. It was electric. Everyone picked LSU because they’re in the SEC and USC had one of the worst defenses last year. Also our QB Caleb Williams left for the NFL. I knew people were going to sleep on our QB and defense this year. Great present for my birthday next week.
I watched this game and will say quarterbacks for both teams looked a lot better than everyone thought. USC actually has a defense now too they will be scary if they keep it up.
8:07 It's a very emotional game and that's why they celebrate and also why some players have difficulty keeping their emotions in check in moments like this.
College football is kind of like wrestling with weight classes, the most powerful teams are FBS schools like USC, Alabama, Michigan. But USC is the only FBS team who has never once played a lower-tier FCS team (FCS teams are called ‘cupcake’ since FBS teams are expected to win like Arkansas did this week scoring 60 points against Arkansas Pine Bluff who scored 0. Every SEC team plays a FCS team each season to pad their records ensuring an easy win and unlike the Big 10 who requires every team to play against 9 other teams in their conference, the SEC only requires 8 in conference games with usually only 1 out of the other 4 games being against a decent team, 1 against a FCS and 2 against a weaker team in the FBS). All eighteen teams in the Big 10 played this week and 17 of them won their games with only one team losing, good start for the Big 10 which USC, Michigan and Penn State are all in with USC scheduled to play at Michigan this year and will have Penn State play in Los Angeles this year too.
USC is one of those 'blue blood teams that you spoke along with Notre Dame. We surely live in small world, I never toughy I would come to love football (soccer) but I do... Fight on! ✌
Many of the non-conference games between big schools played are agreed upon years in advance, many of those agreements are agreed on based on the site. Most of the time these games are played on a neutral site i.e.. Vegas. while other times they do a home and home agreement. i.e. 2024 usc home vs lsu and 2025 lsu home vs usc.
The #1 atmosphere as voted on by players and sports analysts is LSU at night. Nothing comes close to it, from the days of drinking and tailgating leading up to the game. To the hostile environment for traveling fans. You will have 8 year olds cussing you out if you’re an away fan. The heat and humidity mixed with amazing food (best in the nation) makes for an unforgettable experience. Sure the big house and the horseshoe have traditions but nothing compares to DEATH VALLEY AT NIGHT. GEAUX TIGERS
Great job guys. Grew up in LA area as a USC fan but went to school ar UCLA. Love my Bruins. Now living near Seattle and both of my kids graduated from Univ of Washington. (Class of 2018 and 2023) I've got some seriously divided loyalties. USC came to play. Solid win. ♠
New to college football, starting this season, college football now has the two minute timeout in the 2nd and 4th quarter. It's exactly like the two minute warning in the NFL, but they don't call it a two minute warning in college football, they say two minute timeout.
Las Vegas is in Nevada. Otherwise known as Sin City. This is the city I was born in although I live in California now. They are playing in the Raiders stadium. You should go there some time. You'll have a lot of fun. Professional sports we have the Raiders (football), and the Knights (hockey). For college we have the UNLV Rebels. Just to warn you if you come in the summer it can get as hot as 120 degrees and average 100 degrees in the summer. It's the desert.
Delusion lsu was playing from behind the whole game until the middle of the third and got dominated in the 4th. Please both teams had the same amount of yards. At the end they didn't win usc left points on the board as well.
Georgia is ranked #1 this opening week, with Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, and Alabama rounding out the top five, respectively. Was just in Athens (Georgia) recently. Even though Georgia has one of the biggest stadiums in the nation/world, it looks tiny from the outside, where you get a good view of the entire place.
I don't think the interception at the end should have counted. But overall, what a great game! Most of my family went to LSU and they were at least happy about the level of play.
this game was hard to watch because lsu definitely has the weapons to be able to blow out usc there receivers are great but for some reason they didnt push the ball down the field enough
1:37 Daz... for the love of god, Its Ohio STATE. Ohio is an entirely different university. I don't know why that bugs me, as I don't even like the Buckeyes, but it does.
WELCOME TO BIG TEN (B10) FOOTBALL BABY!!!! -Also @Daz, It's not "Ohio". When you say that, you are referring to "Ohio University Bobcats" or saying a Pissigan slur against the Bukeyes, by calling them "Ohio", knowing it is demeaning and both Ohio schools don't like it. When referring to the Buckeyes, you can use, "OSU", "Ohio State", "THE" (we are the only school that OFFICIALLY trademarked it's name with "THE" in it, so it's not Ohio State University, it's THE Ohio State University. If you watch Monday Night Football of games where players announce their name and schools in the beginning, you'll see players from other schools try to make themselves look as important as THE Ohio State University by saying "THE" in front of their school name) or just "The Buckeyes".
If you guys come to the States for a game, you need to come to the south. With all due respect to Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State etc. Come to Atlanta, you will be 1 and a half hours from Georgia, the best team in college football. You will be 2:and a half hours from University of Alabama. You will be hour and a half from Auburn University. 2 hours from Clemson and University of South Carolina. 4 hours from University of Tennessee. Georgia Tech is in town. You will have a bigger variety of top teams nearby.
While Georgia is arguably the best, an Ohio State vs Michigan game tops the list of individual college football games to see. No other rivalry is as strong right now as both teams are among the elite at the same time. I can’t think of another rivalry rn that both are that good besides maybe Texas vs Oklahoma and I’d say Texas has a decidedly better team.
@@GarrettNewman-u5v Georgia is the best no argument there. They have only lost 2 games in 3 years, both in SEC Championship, plus 2 National Championship. My point was not about who is the best, or best rivalry. It's the fact that there are a lot of schools to choose from, within a short drive of Atlanta. So if they are coming from way across the pond, there is not one place with such a large amount of great football within a short drive. You mentioned 2 schools, now name me some other great football schools near them. Maybe Penn State and Notre Dame, that's it. I named 5 teams near Atlanta, and could have named The Gators, FSU and LSU, Ole Miss etc.
@@gregorywilliams1308 I agree on Georgia, but you include bad teams currently like Florida, Florida St, and I’m a gator fan. If those caliber teams make your list than so should schools like Wisconsin and even Cincinnati. I’d just say either way he couldn’t go wrong, but if they are making a trip over for a specific college football game, the best option currently is probably Ohio State vs Michigan
So you're telling them to come to Atlanta, and while here, to now get the hell out of town to see a football game? Could've at least told them to grab some hot dogs from Varsity, and go across the street and check out a game at Georgia Tech, then get the hell out of Atlanta.
@@rdramos13 I was speaking in terms of, I don't know how long they are going to be here. It's easy to get to, due to the airport. if they wanted to they could drive in any direction and run into a top flight football program. If they are here a for a couple of weeks, (people in Europe have long vacations), it could be their base. Go see Alabama one week, someone else the next. There is also the College Football HOF and other pro sports that they could attend. The bottom line the best college football is in the south.
Hope y'all follow USC football across the pond. We used to be a powerhouse. Sadly some scandals tanked our recruiting and playoff eligibility. But we're out of that now and recruiting top players again. Fight On! 🟡🔴🔴🟡
@@maxfisher719 alabamas band is weak, the music they play over the speakers in the stadium is weak, and the fans have been so spoiled for 15 years now they have no fight in them anymore. Targeting call was horrible. Aiden was right to say he was trying to dislodge the ball. Only way for the DB to try and save the game was to lay a hard hit and force the incompletion
@@felipenunez2058 Not an LSU fan, and newsflash someone's head will always be the leading part of their body when tackling. They see a big hit and throw the flag, the game's just soft nowadays.
@@JM-oh1yr well should of targeted a little lower that's what tackling drills are for. It was a good call he would of had a better chance hitting the shoulder if he wanted to dislodge the ball.
You clearly don't understand the rule. I was cheering for LSU but immediately recognized that as targeting. By trying to dislodge the ball in that manner, he risked getting kicked out the game. That's just a sloppy tackle and shouldn't be in anyone's repertoire in the modern game. This is one of many mental lapses LSU had in this game. They have talent, but it's not going to bode well for them in the SEC if they keep making these mistakes.

Biggest shock in this game was that USC played defense
Fight on! Hello from Las Vegas. Don’t know why the game was here other than general money making reasons as it usually is. Come visit!
Probably cuz Las Vegas Tourism, Modelo (the game naming sponsor) and, maybe, ESPN threw a bunch of money at USC and LSU.
Go Irish!
That USC win could be beneficial for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame ☘️
