Natalie..So much fun. I made the pin cushion yesterday and it was fun and works great. Will make one for my granddaughter who at 8 is a new and beginner sewer and will inherit all my sewing in a hundred yrs. thankss LOVE my pincushion
This is great. I'm always putting off making a pincushion, but this looks so nice and practical. I am definitely going to make this. Thank you for the tutorial, great work.
hahaha you're super creative yourself! Never thought of this as a self defense project except when I tried to use the jar cap to protect my own wrist :D Thanks so much for watching!
You can use pretty much anything. I would choose fabrics that are not loosely knit like burlaps as the fibers of the stuffing can get pulled out with each time you remove the pins
Thanks for this; I made a scrunchy from an old waistband from my kid's old clothes and of course a smuckers jar lid. The wider band really helps keep it more stable. Maybe my vacuum cleaner will not find my missing, spilled, or dropped pins. :)
Very good video..great construction...great instruction...using a lid is brilliant.. this is only a 9 out of 10 because I would have preferred a blue and white lid...lol best wishes,,Bill , a man who sews
Thank you! Depending on the fabric you use but I don't think super glue will work as well because the glue will soak into the fabric and not stick to the cap. Maybe I should host a glue gun giveaway soon and you can enter? ;-)
ill try and make a smaller version and make it a bracelet that is wearable in public cuz its just too cute to stay at home and get stabbed by pins XD i would do this and fill it with tons of pins so it will look cool an look like pearls and also convinient for self defense just stab them with pins and run LOL!!
