The Cadets announced they would not be competing for the 2024 season. They would later file for bankruptcy on April 2nd, 2024, partly due to the fact that they were in a lawsuit about a huge sexual assault case that happened in 1982. After 90 years, the corp finally came to a closure for good.

The permanence of the loss to the drum corps world is the most bothersome about the situation. This corps has such a great legacy.
The Cadets will live on in a grand memory.

Thank you. I'm sick to my stomach 😭, but so glad to have seen them, especially in '92.
Sadly, kids today have to pay the price for something that happened over 40 years ago. Insurance companies have way too much control.
Only thing I would have added was 83-85 they three-peated and won again in 87!
I tried to go by decades but I wanted to include the most recent and oldest recordings. I completely forgot about the shows in between
I marched scouts in 84' and loved watching cadets show ...
What a great year for dci.
As a PR alum, this literally makes me cry.
Another fine old corps gone,
I was never a fan of props, talking / singing or electrics, these new uniforms, being of course I grew up the 60's corps era.
My brother and I played with the Kenosha, WI Kingsmen for MANY !! years ! The Best Of times for US ! the 60's era !
that's so cool :) I always wanted to march but I spent those years in a Marine field band. Good gig but I wanted to march at least one season of DCI :)

I still can’t accept that they’re gone.
I have so many awesome memories of them since I became a fan in the 90s. My favorites I think are Angels and Demons and We are the Future. :) What a terrible loss.

No '87??!
I was trying to go by decades (1980, 1990, 2000 etc.), but I included the oldest and most recent dci shows, those being 1972 and 2023 (I skipped 21 and 22). I didn't want to include anything in between (which I now regret)
