New to your channel, I have to say that you are a fantastic teacher and I love all your videos that I have watched. I will definitely be making a lot of your stuff. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skill with us.
What a lovely neighbour you have. The blanket is so pretty in rainbow colours Thank you for sharing. Your instructions are always so clear Kindest regards from Australia 🐨🇦🇺
Hey Robin, i just designed a simple stitch which i call the "puff double crochet stitch" and it would make my day if you could teach this stitch! (even though you probably won't) the stitch is: chain whatever number, skip 2 chains, start a double crochet but don't pull through any loops, repeat that in the same stitch, (5 loops on hook) yarnover pull through 3 loops, yarnover pull through 2 loops, yarnover pull through 2 loops. I just thought i would share this stitch with you because i like it and i know you love puff stitches too!
I have started and stopped a blanket for my mom at least 6 times. I haven’t been enjoying any of the patterns I have tried. This looks great!! Now I need to go buy one other color yarn to make some stripes!! Thank you! 🧶
( USA term ) To know this easy You just have to know : 1. Your foundation chain must be divisible by two Now repeat those two row from now Row 2. Do a moss stitch row 3. Also do a moss stitch row but instead of sc do a puff stitch in those sc Then repeat row 2 and 3 forever until you want to stop
Hi Robin, this is beautiful blanket, the colour, I like the colour change showing, makes it look nicer I think 😉. I've never made a blanket before, gotta try it. Can it be made as a shawl? Thanks for the tutorial xxx
Working on this now, making a scarf for my granddaughter. I love this pattern...she will too! Then I'll have to find a hat pattern that will complement the scarf! Any suggestions?
Hey robin, thanks for the lovely tutorial love the blanket with all the different colours. I was wondering if I wanted to use this stitch in an infinity scarf how would you suggest I go about doing it. As it's a beautiful stitch. Aww aren't your neighbour sweet. Maybe when you're finished the blanket maybe show your neighbour what you did with the yarn she gave you.
Beautiful stitch! But how do you pull the yarn through all those loops so fast! My hook always seems to get caught, no matter how high I pull the loops up :(
Turn the hook to face all the way down and pull it through slowly. I was turning mine a bit and was also catching on the yarn until I angled the hook directly to the bottom of the stitches.
Okay I'm at a loss. I've watched this video and others and even read in a book how to do this stitch and for the life of me I just can't seem to get it. I tried a yarn that's worsted and I think it's bulky 4. I used a 6mm hook and even a 6.5mm. I don't know if it's my hook neck not long enough or what but I struggle getting all the loops on there. When I do manage to do that, I still can't seem to get the yarn long enough to put my hook through without struggling and fighting it. I feel like I'm in a parkour tournament and the yarn is winning 🤔
No need to gauge swatch as such - it all depends on what yarn you're using and what hook size really! The best thing would be to make a small sample to see how your stitches work up with your chosen yarn then take it from there 👍😀 I personally just chained the vague width I wanted my blanket to be by eye :-)
This is a beautiful stitch, but it does take a lot more yarn than some! I crochet donation blankets for project linus, are there any stitches in your videos you could recommend for this type of work that would be a little more economical? I need to use my resources as best as possible. I've scrolled through many of your great videos already, but hoped you might have any suggestions to save me a bit of time 😅😅
@@creativecreations5992 thanks, I've done moss stitch so many times, which is why I was looking for something different for my charity work, but appreciate the attempt of help! Such a great idea to tie the scraps together for this. Making wheelchair lapghans and this is perfect😁
Nice and simple. I have been needing to make a new scrap blanket. This is perfect for using up some yarn. And pretty to look at as well. 👍🧶🐑🦙🐫🐐🧶🥰
I'm going to have to try this one.
Lovely. I can't wait to start this. My sister asked me to make her a blanket and this will be great
Great stitch, I will give a try as soon as I get some yarn.
This is a beautiful stitch! Thank you so much for showing us how to do it!! It really seems quite easy to do but the results are gorgeous. 🙂
Simple but effective! X

( USA term ) To know this easy

1. Your foundation chain must be divisible by two
Now repeat those two row from now
Row 2. Do a moss stitch row
3. Also do a moss stitch row but instead of sc do a puff stitch in those sc
Then repeat row 2 and 3 forever until you want to stop
Remember: after the last stitch of puff stitch row: don't chain one. Instead, do a hdc in to the last stich of your row

Thanks for the tutorial xxx
Depending on the thickness of the yarn you use (and type!) it might be a bit heavy for a shawl? I'd have to try it! X

Hi Robin, can I make cocoon cardigan with this stitch? And how?

Really simple - simply sew the ends together with whip stitch 👍 I'd personally end on a sc row and then sew together :-)

Did I saw a Cat hair in the very first puff stitch? 😻
Cat hair in my yarn is 100% guaranteed 😂

Lol that's mine too.
Hi Robin, I was looking through your scrap yarn project list and I noticed that there is a few with doubles in there. Just a bit confused.....
Hmm that's odd - it might be a youtube glitch?
