    I have a series 3 and the battery life is amazing, I've gone 2 days without fully charging it, if I take it off for any reason I always put it to charge. Which is another great thing because it charges very very fast. I had a series one 42mm before and I gotta tell you that they are so very far apart when it comes to bat life.

    I haven't used my apply watch for a year, had it boxed away, turned it on last night had to run all the updates and the battery lasted about 7 hours, without heavy use, when I first got it, it lasted a day maybe even two days WITH heavy use. I'm gonna try what's in this video and hopefully it helps. The only real difference I can think of is my old job had wifi and this one doesn't, does that make a difference??? Or did it not being used damage the battery??

  • @ChristinaMagma
    @ChristinaMagma 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would you recommend doing the power reserve each night? Is it okay to charge it every day? At the end of the night my watch is at 85% but I charge it anyway. Should I disconnect Bluetooth to save battery or does Bluetooth not use a lot of energy? Great video

      So you don't really care about sleep monitoring? Well I do, and having to charge every single day is a hazzle for me. I'd like to have an apple watch but I get pretty much the same functionality with a Fitbit, but that one gives me at least six days of battery before I have to charge it.

    Curious how your watch drains 20-30% over night?
    I'll charge mine to 100% before I go to bed to avoid leaving it plugged in over night, and when I wake up it's no less than 97%, which means it drained 3%.
    20-30% seems outrageous, maybe a battery defect cause my cell phone doesn't even drain 20-30% over night and I have it set to push notifications.
    But overall, great vid!

    Even if I switch off the wifi in settings(not control center) the watch keeps switching on wifi several times through the day randomly, and when I charge the watch and when I restart it. The annoying thing about it is I have the LTE version but when the wifi is activated it will not use the LTE anymore even if the wifi is not connected but just on. So Siri and all dictation won't work as well, I have this problem for months and Apple still didn't fix it.

  • @SOCAL_SHORTS_FACTORY
    @SOCAL_SHORTS_FACTORY 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You missed one, which is the reduce transparency. It's under General - Accessibility and by doing this Apple Watch doesn't have to render the blurred backgrounds/effects and the OLED pixels doesn't have to lit up for unnecessary blur effects, thus saving more battery.
    Also, I wouldn't necessarily call Apple Watch to have a not so good battery life. My first gen 42mm lasts me 2 days easily and can probably stretch that to 2.5 to 3 days if I used power saving mode at night for standby. It definitely isn't the best out there, but it's far better than the majority of the smartwatches out there.

    • @yuanzofficial

      Unfortunately that is a feature of a previous watchOS version. All the apple watches on watchOS 5 and above have the same style dock

    best way to save battery is to turn off the "wake screen on wrist raise" and "wake screen on crown up" I work more than 16 a day and when I get home i normally have at least 60% of my battery easy simple and takes away that annoying wake screen specially when driving

      Carlos Ventura I searched up the whole TH-cam just to find you again !! I read your comment about 2 days ago and when I normally had my watch it would drain from 100% to 0 in about 2 hours but now it lasts from 6 am to 11 pm with 50% still available !! You’re a legend dude thank you so much

      I don't think Alta is a good comparison to Apple Watch. Alta has a tiny screen and the functionality and the third party app support is far more limited when compared to any traditional smartwatches (though most of those third party apps are useless). It would make more sense to compare it with something like Fitbit blaze.

    • @annabellec2208
