    Audio can be super confusing! Gus is here today to talk about some of the main differences between two very popular microphone types - Condenser Microphones and Dynamic Microphones.
    Here are some good budget options for both condenser and dynamic microphones, as well as some audio interfaces to power them.

    Morrisette Media is a digital media/marketing agency based in Richmond, VA, that specializes in the creative side of marketing and branding. We love to work with small to medium-sized businesses to help grow and promote their brand to their target customers through highly thought-out commercial video and photo.
    In addition to commercial work, we also shoot a lot of music videos for local musicians and artists around the RVA area under our sub-brand - Paper Nature, which caters more to the music community in branding and voice.
    In addition to photo and video work, we also do advertising campaign strategies, brand voice and strategy, consulting on brand or marketing projects, web design, and social media management - and even weddings through Morrisette Photo & Video, another sub-brand under the MM umbrella.
    You can expect to see a Morrisette Media podcast about what we have going on and the business strategies that we are working through.

    actually the SM7B does have the full range of human hearing (yeah fine it starts from 40 hz when most condensers start from 20 but thats negligible) but yeah most dynamics dont.

    I have the TLM102 mic. It sounds a lot siblance and harsh... while recording vocals. Which makes me uncomfortable while singing. Please tell me what the problem is and how should I fix this?

    Hey bro... Could u plz tell me which type of mic should I exactly use for recording my acoustic guitar videos...
    (Guitar + vocals)...

      Depends! You could use either forreal. If you are singing too then i would have a dual mic set up if you dont have a way to get your guitar into the mix, but a condenser mic could pick you both up if you are on a budget and your room is treated!

    is there a way u can eq the condenser mic for podcasts or something pls help

    • @MorrisetteMedia
      @MorrisetteMedia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep! Absolutely, it just depends on how yours sounds but there’s a lot of good resources for EQ on TH-cam, with condensers the room noise is always tough to block out though so for podcasts that’s why most shows choose dynamics

    I record acoustics covers in my room (not a home studio)…. Mostly guitar and vocals or piano and vocals… which mic should I go for ? And please specify the model.

      depends on what you are making! if you have a treated room you could get away with a condenser but if not, a dynamic with a good cardioid or super cardioid polar pattern is going to be your best bet!
