1:45 I love that even the 'squirt' boats sound good. Unlike the U1's of today. 4:30...just like its namesake, it was a difficult design to keep on the water
Drove right past this on 240, I had no idea there was a club around here. Looks like something fun to get into. We'll see how far that paper airplane flies when the wife catches wind of the idea.
@@M5PerfHydros Well as it turns out I've got the green light! Got the plans and kit (leaning FE) BUT I may have hit a snag. RC Boat Company is at a work stoppage which given the reason is understandable. Is there anyone else that produces cowlings, wings and other whatnot? I'd ask this on your FB page but I don't do social media.
I missed your comment scott on "what do you think of a 1996 prather pirahna outrigger with KnB.67 11cc inboard. It was given to me my first boat. Haven't run it yet.
Awesome boats I may say. I actually have a 48 inch hydroplane formula boat. I'm having trouble locating a rudder and turn fin for it. Do you know of any wedsites where I can purchase a turn fin and rudder?
Yes you do! I don't know where you live so I don't know how to help, but do some searching online in your area and I'm sure there's racing going on somewhere
I've always been a smoke and fire kind of guy, but electric is becoming a lot more tempting these days as fewer nitro boats are showing up now. Why not build yourself a whole new boat?
The Nat's in Seaside? I thought about it but my classes are all run the same day and I just couldn't see driving all that way to run just the one day. But who knows, maybe I'll get a wild hair
Why dont they change everything. Put clutches in the boat and water pumps that can be shut off just for starts that way everyone would have coming and rest at the starting line think about it you could revolutionize this sport. What you think about a 1996 prather pirahna out rigger .67😊
Weight, complication, money.... I get what you're saying, and I'm sure it would be fun, but we're trying to keep things as simple and affordable (ha!) as possible
The last crash was crazy!
Wow amazing hospower goodjob😮👍
Thank you 👍
WOW !!! Enjoyed every second . Thanks for the post !
Thanks Coach!
These are cool. Surprised no one has a Mrs. Circus Circus. I’m just biased cause that was my favorite boat growing up.
Hmm, maybe it wasn't in this video but one of our guys is running the Circus with the cathedral wing, and there have been many others over the years

You going to be able to fix that one
Easy!

Sure! www.rossisales.com/index.html
Question: The boats race are always clockwise, or they run counter clockwise too. They run turn to the left too?
Clockwise for 1/8th scale and gas scale, but our 1/10th scale boats turn left. Don't ask why, I'm still unhappy about that myself
I need to do this “hobby”. Where do I start and find a race lake! Let me know
Yes you do! I don't know where you live so I don't know how to help, but do some searching online in your area and I'm sure there's racing going on somewhere
@@M5PerfHydros Ohio and thank you. Love the videos. Hopefully will be getting stuff to build soon
Heck ya, build a boat!
Scott I have a 1996 prather pirahna out rigger .67 knb inboard thinking about electric conversion any advice. Should I leave this vintage boat alone
I've always been a smoke and fire kind of guy, but electric is becoming a lot more tempting these days as fewer nitro boats are showing up now. Why not build yourself a whole new boat?
Scott you going to be at this years 2022 races??? Would like to meet you, not racing but thinking about driving over and watching.

But if you're talking about the Gold Cup in Chelan WA this weekend, heck yes I'm going, I got to defend the title!
I’m a little late to the party but has anyone made one out of carbon fiber? I don’t know if it would work because of the scale just curious.
Many are carbon fiber!
They sre only like 800 bucks or so for some of the good ones
