I owned both bedrock and java on the same account before they were bundled and for some reason, I never got the Vanilla cape. Also I used to have the Bedrock Founders cape for claiming the skin pack in 2019 but because of how glitchy Bedrock is, it disappeared. I guess Mojang just hates me or something lol

Replying on your first point, I also bought both versions of Minecraft, 2 different times on 2 different accounts and didn't receive a vanilla cape on either account! But yea, I do agree Bedrock is glitchy lol
@@Fliffan If you don't use the same Microsoft account or email address for both versions then you don't get the cape. That seems to be the reason for people not to get the vanilla cape.
I didn’t get my vanilla cape until I contacted Minecraft support about it, so if you should be eligible then they should be able to sort that for you

I was lucky enough to visit the last minecon and get myself an ender cape, I also naturally have both the migrator and cherry blossom cape. Though oddly I don't have the vanilla cape, despite having purchased both bedrock and java separately, I actually didn't know that cape even existed...
I didn't buy minecraft bedrock but I have the vanilla cape 😅 I think they gave me yours.

@@matteorossi8240 Minecraft live is what replaced Minecon. Minecon was a Minecraft convention, so they'd rent a big 'ol building and there'd be tons of panels to visit. Me and my sister joined a parkour competition that Hypixel hosted, there was the yearly costume contest, and many of the panels were live streamed.
Minecraft live is a much cheaper alternative that was introduced 2 years after microsoft's acquisition of the game. You cannot attend Minecraft live, and most of it is pre-recorded.
honestly, i think the vote-cape is just to get people to vote _more_ in the future. I don't think they'll be giving out more capes, or if they do, they'll be horrible in appearance, and everyone will be sick of them.
I feel like it was a way of saying “F you” to all of the people trying to boycott the vote

I think a good way to get capes is simply just being very attentive and engaging. Try going to every single in person event, vote in every single mob vote. Also probably buy all of the Minecraft spin off games because it might be possible that Mojang is going to give a cape to ppl who have those games.
Realms Mapmaker here, it also takes months for maps to get reviewed in queue, so definitely don't go for the Realms solely for the cape!

You can get the 15 anniversary, tiktok and twitch ones now, look up how to obtain each. Also there will certainly be more capes in the future, maybe for the next mob vote

If I knew of the existence of the mob vote cape I would have 2, but the migrator cape is cooler imo.
They never reward players for voting. Unexpected feature. I have missed out on the 3 latest capes
I voted via the website, but was logged in on a random account and i dont have Minecraft on that account wich really sucks, i tried contacting support but sadly no luck

Good that you didn't. It's meant as a special reward for voting; we don't want a bunch of people just picking a random option just so they get a cape. But it kinda sucks that they did it, because people might do that next year in the hopes of getting a cape now.
I got the 2016 Minecon cape, the vanilla cape, the migrator cape and the cherry blossom cape. My favorite one has to be the cherry blossom cape though, because it’s color makes it stand out (in my opinion)

The cherry blossom cape is pretty weird, until this video 0 indication was given that a cape would be rewarded. I would have voted, but didn’t because I didn’t know about the cape

The Blossom cape kinda felt petty to me. They never provided a cape for a mob vote before and they announce it after the mob vote with controversy and people boycotting it? Sounds hella spiteful.

I think its kinda funny. Like cmon its just a video game. And the concepts for mobs are only concepts. After the copper golem I learned never to get attached to a mob before its voted in.

A thing that I think you messed up on was on the to get the Realms Mapmaker cape, you are indeed correct, you had to make a couple of cool maps to get the cape, but the thing is, I'm almost sure that the cape isn't obtainable now due to the fact that the contest for it was closed and the way to submit the maps, on the reddit, is now closed. (At least it was a couple of years ago then I tried to participate in it)
If this is true, then I have made quite a dire mistake! But I'm going to say its not, since I can't find anything on it and also the realms mapmaker guidelines were updated last on October 31st 2023, which still includes the cape requirements. Thanks for letting me know though.
A couple of years ago submissions shut for a few months due to them having a backlog. I believe it is back up now though.
You only get the vanilla cape if you had the Windows version of Bedrock edition, not just any version of Bedrock.
I had Java Edition back when they were giving away Windows Bedrock for free to anyone who had Java, but I didn't own a Windows PC, so I missed out. Because of that, I was unable to get the vanilla cape unless I wasted $30 on Bedrock Edition.
I am sticking with my founders cape, although I do wish that it was also on Java edition
I have the bedrock only pancake cape and the cherry blossom cape. Also, try swimming at the top of a body of water so you can barely breath while wearing a cape, and go into f5, your cape will be like standing up.

I used to have the founders cape, don’t really know what happened to it. Other than that I have both the cherry blossom cape and the pancape. I also recently got the cherry blossom cape in Java tho.

only the 2 cape but for me the migration cape is enough for my elytra even if i think this will be better to separate cape and elytra customisation, the other cape is the vanilla cape from bedrock of course

I created my Minecraft account at the time that you could either create a mojang or a Microsoft account. A few months later they announced the account migration but because I signed up with a Microsoft account I didn’t get the cape. I also bought both bedrock and java but I didn’t get the vanilla cape because I seemly did it on two separate accounts :)

i only have the cherry cape. i would've gotten the migrator cape, A. if i had known about it when i bought my account, and B. i hadn't made my account literally, like, a few days or weeks after you were unable to make a mojang account to migrate.

Imagine if someone makes a vidoe about getting all the capes that exist :D They would have to make at least two minigames for realms, work at mojang, be present at all the minecons, they must have migrated, voted and bought both java nad bedrock, and somehow get the capes that are specific to one person and stuff :D not sure how many more capes there exist but it would be a flex to have them all :D

i have a pancape, which is a cape with a pancake on it, a golden creeper cape, which i obtained from marketplace
The only ever vote I voted in was this years vote and I got the cape (i don’t know I just felt like it)
i got 4. Pancape, Cherry Blossom Cape and the two most recent ones. Those being that twitch heart cape and the 15th anniversary cape

Hi, I have the realms mapmaker cape. Please don't create maps only with the goal of getting the cape. People in our community make maps because they enjoy it and want to make great maps that are challenging and fun, not just to get the cape.
Many map submissions on the subreddit that are clearly only aiming for the cape are of poor quality. The standards for getting your map on Realms are really high. It can take unexperienced players years to get a map accepted. I was already skilled with commands/datapacks but it still took me over a year. I'm not saying you shouldn't give it a try, we welcome new people, but don't expect to get accepted right away.
I agree with everything you have said, maps on realms are absolutely incredible and should be done out of the love for building, also very cool that you have the cape!
You can also get Mojang and Mojang Classic cape right now, employees can have all 3 of these capes applied to their account if they wish.
I've got the vanilla cape even though i never purchased bedrock, I got it for free from a code emailed to me when it first released as Minecraft windows 10 beta, and for whatever reason they don't seem to have logged that my copy came from that so I got the vanilla cape.

I have the migrator cape and the blossom cape. I have an optifine cape too wich im grateful for too. I am woking on a minigame map with my friend and we hope to get the points and in the future even the cape.

If you are talking about the game, then that is Hypixel Bedwars (specifically a dream mode of Bedwars named swap), and if you are talking about the UI stuff on screen such as CPS, that would be Lunar Client.

To answer your question, yes! I have Migrator, Vanilla, and Cherry Blossom capes! If you want to count it, I also have the 10 yr anniversary cape on Bedrock!

that's not the point of the cape, the point is to thank those who supported mojang earlier on, and to sort of "reimburse" them for spending money on something that is now free for everyone else
I use the cherry blossom cape from the mob vote, it’s the only cape I have. I’ve only been playing on Java for less than a year, I used to play bedrock and I think I had one or two capes on there but I don’t anymore

Eventually those newer capes will end up being rarer as more people are joining minecraft

and then theres the capes that purely exist as decoration on certain skins for skins that were made by 4j, and only show on those skins

But the thing is, i never purchased "Minecraft: Bedrock Edition" so i received the Vanilla cape for free without doing anything (and some of my friends too).
That because if you bought Minecraft before a certain date when bedrock didn't exist or something youd get the bedrock edition for free because otherwise you'd purchase a game and then a second version came out which is for consoles but then you'd have to buy the game again so thats why they gave some Minecraft players bedrock edition for free, i also have the capes

I got the migrator and I am happy because it looks royal. I’m just happy to have something. I have the cherry also, but meh. It’s not as cool looking. I don’t really care about rarity or clout. Just wanted something, got something, and am satisfied.
due to only having my laptop for 11 months now and only playing on consoles and mobile prior to that, I was unable to get the vanilla cape or the migrator cape, but I have the blossom cape.
I mean, i AM going for a programmer's degree, a First Certificate ( to prove my foreign origins don't keep me from speaking english ) and maybe, just maybe moving to the US. I have 8 capes, I have the Founders Cape (Owned but I cant wear it for some fucking reason since the damn thing disappeared), PanCape, Vanilla Cape, Twitch Cape, TikTok Cape, 15 Year Anniversary Cape, Blossom Cape, and the Migrator Cape. The thing is, my favorite cape is the Mojira cape but being a Highschooler who wants to go to the Air Force Academy, I'm screwed. I want the Mojira cape so bad but I don't even know where to start with finding bugs. There is one thing in particular that Mojang needs to do something about. I bought an alt account a while back and since I didn't know at the time mojang accounts would be migrated, I put the alt on my main Microsoft account which I previously had bedrock on, so then when it came time to migrate I had to make a new email for my main account, meaning the alt was what got the vanilla cape
As a OG player, I had Bedrock on Windows but didn't get the cape, I also didn't vote because I just had no time for it (I had the vote day on my calendar), I just found out about that cape and I'm deeply depressed now. 😅

Honestly I wish we could make our own capes and stuff, with how little they come out I feel like if someone wants one they should be able to make their own one, I mean I guess the capes are more special this way, but I still think it's a good idea

It's not the same, but you can get an Optifine cape and set it to a custom banner pattern. It's not the same, but to me it was still fun
