bro love the video...very detailed which many dont do...i work on all my stuff sooo i know most but amazing job for someone that doesnt know how to doit...im having a similar problem with my caddy :(
This is just AMAZING ! The way you explain every detail, and the camera work , its just a pleasure to watch. I am planning to change the fuel injectors on this exact 3.0 LF1, because of a p0420 code, i suspect the fuel injectors are the culprit. So this video definitely helped, I am going to change the gaskets If I am already taking out the intake. Are you by any chance planning to do a fuel injectors video any time soon ? ;) Its a bit of struggle to do as I could tell from the info already online.
Thank you for stopping by and the kind words! I appreciate the feedback! I may end up doing fuel injectors at some point in the future, but nothing planned for the near future!
@@Amundred thank you , will be following ! As for that annoying 13 mm bolt , I was pleased to know that it doesn’t have to be taking off - as it doesn’t have enough clearance and was wondering how would I take it out. One thing I kinda didn’t get, the bracket on the rear, I have to take out only the 10 mm on the bottom of it and not the two 10mm on top?
@@rabe3sh7ady had to loosen the bottom one and take out the top two. You could remove the bottom one, but I just loosened it and was able to slide the bracket out of the way. 👍

What did you use to clean the surface where the intake runners are at 10:24?
I used Simple Green cleaner and shop towels to clean them 👍

My code gave me a p0171 the guy at the store said it was a intake manifold gasket I hope he wasn't wrong 🙏
This is the most common issue for the code! Hopefully this fixes your issue!! Keep us updated!
Do u have to unplug all that stuff to take it off
Everything that I unplugged in this video had to be unhooked/unplugged to complete this repair. 👍
Funny, using my name in vain!
Mr pips didn't look to excited😂

@@Amundred looked like a satisfying repair for you.
