      When you did yours did you just use the shaft of the drive shaft with your current car? I’m about to do this with a 6 speed

    • @fransb8543
      @fransb8543 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Recon77 the prop shaft is a different length. The two drive shaft can be reused but for the 330 6spd there is a stronger type of shaft. They came up for sale near me so I bought those too but I think that you can do without that upgrade. The 330 5spd manual uses the same drive shafts.

    • @Recon77
      @Recon77 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@fransb8543 ok I did pull the whole drive shaft from the 6 speed car with the transmission, good to know. Mines a automatic. I guess now I need to see if the mounting is the same to the differential between the auto shaft and the 6 speed shaft. As long as it is I’m good to go. Ty for the reply and the help.

    • @fransb8543
      @fransb8543 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Recon77 the flanges on the diff are different but they pop out and swap over very easily. Sometimes the drive shafts can be a nightmare to get out of the hub. I had to replace one entire swing arm because the shaft didn't come out, not even with a hydraulic press. If yours does't come out easily, I would advise to just swap over the diff flanges from your auto diff on to your new diff and keep the original shafts in place. If you start using brute force you'll damage your bearings.
      Oh yes one more important point: if you change the drive shaft to the specific six speed manual ones, you'll need different, deeper ABS sensors because the diameter of the new shaft is smaller. Took me a few hours to figure that out. Good luck!

    might be worth noting if the pedal comes from a junkyard or an older car the bushings may need to be replaced, probably easier off the car while you're doing this. the clutch pedal can develop this weird feeling of play in it. • @gringoamigable3837
      @gringoamigable3837 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We disassembled an automatic pedal the other day. The "kickdown" is nothing more than a little round ball-like gizmo that provides the "pop" when you floor it. It does nothing, and can be removed if you wish, thus resulting in a "manual" pedal assembly.

I have an issue where the car idles really low, when I put the car in neutral and stepping on the brakes to slow down, the car stalls out. I just cleaned the ITBs and replaced ICV and the MAF sensor? It seems to be better, but it didn't fix the issue. Any help would be appreciated.

    • @janschneider9125
      @janschneider9125 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it seems you have a clutch switch from a car which starts whitout pressing the clutch, thats standart coding on euro cars. You can code your car like this and you wont need the 4th pin or you plug in another pin for the ews and have to start your car with a pressed clutch pedal.

    • @Majky684
      @Majky684 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@janschneider9125 Yes it is exactly like you say exept switch that i have doesnt have pin for EWS, but car does start, diagnostic tool showed me that it recognises that clutch is depresed or released so I am happy. So conclusion is you wire it like old style exept you dont have/need second switch for EWS (on my pedal assembly there wasnt even preperation for second switch) and if you cant start car, just run 12V from brake switch to EWS and you should be good.

    • @50sKid
      @50sKid  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is no polarity on a switch. A switch just closes the contact and makes a connection, so wire one side to ground and the other to that relay.
