by the way... if you spray that display with rainEX or Pledge furniture polish, it will make it clean and easier to read... When you turned it on inside. i just saw a bar batter indicator.. and outside: Does it have Voltage and Watts indicator..?
Is what model displays is this? Does the display allow the user to modify/ customize the number of assist levels or more importantly the amount of power percentage you get at each assist level? Thanks
Great question. Yes you can. Just like any bike however, you don't want to start peddling in a higher gear from a stand still. Same thing with the throttle. You don't want to start throttling if you are in a higher gear or it will put higher tension on your chain.
You can ride through deep puddles and splash the motor and it can be rained on and sprayed off and everything like that but we would not suggest you submerge it underwater for a long period of time.
Why hasn't Bafang come out with IPS TFT sunlight readable LCD displays.. (oh forgot they do have one and it only displays 5 bar battery level (not Voltage) and it doesn't show Watts.. the information is primitive and limited. IPS screens are truly "sunlight readable." you appologized because of reflection.. That tells me and shows me that this display is very difficult to see in the sun if not downright impossible.. The Bafang IPS SLR EB04 display is great.. But i don't need Navigation.. I need to see important info like Watts/Voltage/Trip/Speed.. I have a solar trailer behind my BBSHD equipped 52v mid drive recumbent trike.. And in order to optimize the range, i need to adjust the Power level:Gear ratio... And the only way to do that is to watch the watt draw and voltage/speed readings.. Bafang really needs to listen to it's customers.. If they can put bluetooth navigation into the display that can be seen in the sunlight, they could eliminate that and replace it with WATTS/Voltage etc...

Ebikes do not have "engines". they have electric motors.. LOL. Engines are powered with gas or diesel..
