I use this display on my BBS02. It is a good display and I agree with you about the display not taking up as much room compared to a center-mounted display.
Yeah, I know these displays are more used on the BBS models but they work well with the M-series of Bafang motors. Definitely digging the cleaner cockpit space and I'll be looking to get another one for a new emtb I'm building. Thanks for the comment 👍🏿
The display is so small that when I got my Bafang kit I thought it was missing because all that was left in the box was a tiny white box and I thought " there is no way thats the display. It was the display and yes, it takes you by surprise how small it is. Yet, it is absolutely perfect in size and everything is very clear. It has turned out to be an excellent display. I fit mine on the right side of my bars.
Good news,Biktrik has developed in-house a new rear hub to handle the 160 nutin meters of torque, probably won't break for the heavy riders, waiting to see what the price is going to be! Hopefully not a arm and leg to purchase. Love the new display, got new tires installed and have a new KMS chain on order.winter is here in Saskatchewan so another six months of ebiking in -30 Celsius, loving every second of life.
Nice one Dennis. I'll look into the new rear hub Biktrix have announced. Could be useful to feature as the conversation of ebikes and derailleurs are starting to flare up. Thanks for the comment and appreciate the info 👍🏿
My first build on a Trek 4500 used BBS02 with the C500 with the 48v 10ahm battery. Thank you, I didn't know how to change the display from metric to imperial.
Sincere apologies for the delay. Reading your comment did take me back to the days I messed around with the BBS02. Thanks for your comment and thanks for sharing 👍🏿
Good show. How did you connect the Magura brakes to the motor? Do you happen to know which adapter allows one to connect a Bafang mid to Magura brakes?
Sincere apologies for the delay. The Magura brakes use the dedicated Bafang connectors which plug into the wire harness. Technically, you can buy the levers and retrofit them to existing Magura brakes without the need of buying the complete brake set. Look for the Magura E-Stop brake levers with yellow circular connectors. Those are the ones which work with Bafang👍🏿
Lol. apologies, I should have covered that in the video. The 'W' stands for Watts. I.e. how much watts the motor is kicking out depending on the level of assist and effort the motor is utilizing depending on the terrain, incline and subsequent variables. Hope this helps and thanks for your comment 👍🏿
Thanks for that dude 👍🏿. I'll bare that in mind. So far, no issues with the display being used on different ebikes. But I know where you're coming from as I've broken two DCP18 displays due to water ingress.
@@neekodevinchi th-cam.com/video/SHxvxekXsAY/w-d-xo.html this is the bike I have the 500c display on 😁 The motor is a bbshd, the bike a kona dawg delux full suspension

I do like the all-in-one aspect, & the good bar-clamp clearance, of the 500C display. The DPC18 has the speed shown much larger, & the PAS mode fairly good size. If the 500C used its display space differently, I could read the speed & PAS without stopping to check! ;D
ооо, хорошо, я вижу. Это довольно умно. Судя по показаниям напряжения, похоже, что вы используете батарею на 52 вольта. Является ли показание напряжения точным при использовании батареи на 52 вольта? Хороший спуск emtb 👊🏿
Hi there, This display doesn't have the ability to change from Eco - sport mode. However, you can choose how many levels of assist ranging between 1-3, 1-5 & 1-9. Hopefully this answers your question but feel free to ask any further questions, should you have any concerns. Thanks for your comment 👍🏿
@@neekodevinchi thanks for fast reply. Now i am using DPC18 display. Very big for me, looks like phone. Plan to change to this model. And buy from ali express. Since i use my emtb i haven't use sport mode. Level 5 eco mode is enough for me
@@neekodevinchi Hi dude. I already using LCD 500 C Display. Just sharing my thought the level assist 1 using 500 C feel similar to Level assist 1 in Sport mode using DPC 18. I feel more force in level 1 compare existing DPC 18. Do you feel the same ?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences. In answer to your question, it depends on how your M620 motor is programmed and how many levels of assist the 500C display is setup. Depending on your basic settings perimeters of the M620 motor, level 1 could give you the equivalent power of level 1 sport mode when using the DCP18 display. I put some tiger seal round the edges of the display just makes it waterproof
