Thank you soooo much for making this! I was having a hard time picturing how big the trailer is but this video made it perfectly clear how much I can fit and saved me from feeling anxious about all my stuff fitting on moving day. Thank you for taking the time to post this for all of us!
Thank you for this video and for taking the time to unpack everything to show us. That’s unbelievable what you had in there. I’m not going to even tell you what we did to move to Texas. I’m going back to California this way for sure!!! Thank you for being so kind to show this again.
Thank you for this. I am up at 1am worried that all my stuff that I intend to bring cross country won't fit. I am now confident it will. I will doubt every night until the movers come so I'll watch this before each anxiety attack. 👌
You are the man! Thanks for making this video, I'm here trying to idealize how much my furniture will fit inside the trailer and now everything is easier. Thank you
Greattt video!!! My parents always got one for our military moves growing up but I forgot how much you can fit in there!!! but now I’m moving from South FL to Atlanta by myself and was nervous with how much things I have to take but you did a great video! Thank you!!!!
Sweeeeeet! This was such a great instructional video. It helps to get an idea of how much I can actually fit into this size trailer. Wish I would have came across your video before I sold most of my furniture. I have mostly boxes (35) and a couch, floor lamps, etc. that I was going to sell but not after viewing your video. Give us more videos 😐Thanks so much! 🚛
Thank you! I was wondering and worried if my stuff will fit. My fiancee is coming to move my stuff into our new home 1,000 miles away. This is the perfect size for me and way more affordable! ❤️
Fantastic video! I wish more people would make videos of their Uhual "hauls" vs their shopping hauls haha! Visualization helped me so much on choosing the best Uhual trailer for my trip. Thank you!
It's a shame you didn't record how you got everything IN the trailer! But thank you for showing how much can actually fit inside a 5x8. And thank you for the very helpful tips regarding tolls and gas mileage!
He got it there by packing everything nice and tight, that maximizes the space which allows you to get everything you need on the truck or trailer unless the truck or trailer is too small.
Very good helped me alot. This is first time 4 me. I'm moving across country. From Pennsylvania to Texas, so only taking most meaningful things. I thank you again. This video has really helped me to make up my mind as to the size I need. You did a great job. 🦋🦋
Thanks for this video! I have a sectional couch, a dresser, a desk, a small coffee table, a chair and two little nightstands and a large cardboard standee. I think with some stacking efforts this 5x8 will do me well
@@nevamontford4914 It just barely fit for me. It's a bit of a trial and error to get it all in properly. It did the job though. I did stuff like tilting the couches to lean onto the dresser and then put the coffee table under the couch as it was hovering over. Stuff like that
Thank you. I am thinking of bringing some stuff back to New York from Florida, and I wasn't sure which size to use since I only have a few pieces. I mostly want to bring back some bedroom furniture (bureau and a dresser) and an office chair. I definitely would fit that in the 5 x 8, and now I can see the few items might only need the 4 x8. It was great to see how much you were able to fit!
Moving to Houston, TX this summer and I’ve been struggling to decide between a U-Pack relocube or a U-Haul trailer. We’re selling most of our stuff but want to bring our Queen bed and some other small furniture. Thanks for posting this! We’ll decide go with the cargo trailer, probably the 6x12.
Very good video. Me.and.my family is about to move. I was skeptical about how much stuff these things hold. Looks small from the outside but very good space inside. Thanks!!👍
Omg thank you for this video I’m moving to AZ and I needed to get an idea of what size trailer I’m gonna go with a 6x12 I don’t have a lot of stuff but I do have my craft room and some bedding items so this was great Thank you.. it’s 2024 now and the the trailers are way more. And thank you for the toll mention I’m gonna make sure I avoid all tolls. I don’t have time for that lol
How'd it go? I'm moving from Ohio to Dallas in Dec and am trying to see what all I can bring. I currently have a 3 bed house, but of course I will be downsizing to a 2 bed apt. Planning on taking my bed set (queen) including long dresser, my couch (sectional) and a bunch of small stuff. Worried about my bed and couch fitting.
@@prfctlymprfctbeauty oh man we packed that sucker full. Had a full sized bed (huge head board and side frame. Tons of boxes. In a 2013 Hyundai Tucson. Tried doing the wiring for the trailer myself but I had to have a mechanic hook it up. Only like $100. So I was moving my wife down and it was only her bedroom and a huge closet. A desk and a chair. Packed the Hyundai up to the max and brought the 25lb dog. You can pack it up. Get the balance right. How I balances was just common sense no crazy math or science. Way I tested it was as I was loading if I could lift the hitch (about when it was full) then I felt good because the tongue rating is about 350? I believe. As your loading it will be impossible to lift cause the weight is towards the back. So in my opinion, don’t worry about weight worry about distribution and picking smart. It’ll carry what you need. I did only go about 55-60 because my wife is pregnant and at the end of the day I wasn’t in a huge rush and didn’t need to kill us. Stopping was good also. Nothing intense. Hopefully that better helps you understand the capacity of it. Lemme know if you got any more questions.
Thannnk You So much❤ planning a move from NC to Massachusetts.. I'm mostly concerned about cost ... I'm not bringing much furniture.. I put most of my stuff in 27gallon containers about 12 of them a love seat .and small farm table.. that's it
U-Haul trailers are bombproof! I have a lot of respect for these things. One of the features I really like on the larger trailers is the hydraulic brake mechanism in the tongue. When you slow down, inertia pushes a hydraulic piston in the tongue, which in turn activates the brakes on the trailer. The only thing I don't like is some of the older trailers leak, if you pass through a heavy rain storm. One other thing: Avoid renting the trailer "one-way," if you can. It'll cost you a lot less if you rent it on a "local use" basis. Lastly, I gotta' say I'm truly impressed with the huge amount of stuff you packed inot that 5' x 8' trailer! PS: My '97 3/4 ton GMC Suburban with the 454 gets 12 mpg empty, or pulling a 26 foot Airstream!
I'm moving from Missouri to Texas in a few months. I really want to haul everything in a uhaul trailer hitched to my 4 runner but I'm back and forth on whether I need a 5×8 or 6x12, hoping this will help me decide!
Hello wow all that fit in that trailer u got more still then I'm moving next weekend all I got is a loveseat and couch and small dining room table and chairs and dresser and tv stand and 19 boxes wow . I don't have half of what u put in that trailer. Will I don't feel bad thanks for this video
Holy Sh!t !! Thank you so much for this video. I think I’m going to throw most of my stuff away or sell it. Now I wander if I can pull the trailer with my car 😩😩😩
I am moving to Georgia from Pennsylvania in 2 weeks and reserved a 6x12. Trying to sell a sofa and chaise with no luck. I have a queen bed and large dresser. I am prying it will all fit.
My daughter's mattress is 20 years old, so we will definitely wait until we've moved her stuff to her new apartment and then get her a new mattress (& probably a new bed frame too) there. Thinking of doing UBox rather than a trailer or truck, though.
Thanks for sharing this, I"m not looking forward to attempting this with a size down - 4x8 cargo trailer - this week. You've got me pumped that I can fit a lot in there though.

You just saved me $350. Was about to rent the next size up trailer. You're a legend. Have my like. Thank you
I love it when I find a video that fits EXACTLY what I’m looking for. I’m from Maine, too. So double-like!

Moving across the country with this in two days, and packing it up tomorrow. Thank you for this, helps a lot!
Even after watching it, it's hard to believe all that was crammed in there. Really appreciate the content!
Thank you, we are about to move, and we weren't sure if that was big enough to fit all that we are taking. Very helpful...
Thanks for posting! I now have less anxiety regarding the 6x12 rental.
Thank you for this video! Very informative and helpful. Now I feel confident on my 650 mile move with our 5x8 uhaul trailer.

Hello! Did you go with the u-haul trailer? If so what size? I'm planning a move from MI to GA.
Nice, thanks for sharing, very helpful. You fit quite a lot of stuff in there!
Ty! Moving tomorrow and was worried that it was going to be too small. I can see that wont be a problem now!
I am really impressed, I've always wondered how much those trailers could hold. It holds almost as much as the U-Box.
This video is awesome! I was trying to see how much does that Uhaul trailer would fit how much stuff! Thank You !
Thanks for this video! I have a sectional couch, a dresser, a desk, a small coffee table, a chair and two little nightstands and a large cardboard standee. I think with some stacking efforts this 5x8 will do me well

Bro you did a great job packing that trailer
Thank you for this! I don’t have much stuff so I think I could get the 4x8. Very helpful I appreciate you
Saved me $100 by not getting the 6x12 GREAT VIDEO!
Good grief that's a lot of stuff! Thanks for this video....with the little I'm hauling, I'll most certainly be able to do the 5x8.
So helpful! Question: how did you only pay $150 for a trip across the country?
Yeah, the quote I got from OR to AZ was about $600 I think. Older video.

Welcome to Texas!
Wow!!! That WAAAS.... awesome !.. you packed that great ... I don’t know if I could pack it that good!

$150?! Where! Ot’s $865 one way for the 5x8. And more than $1800 for the larger one. Very expensive.

Do you think a king size bed would fit in this ? That’s the only thing I’m trying to move
Wow Great Review Thank u so much
Most definitely needed to see this! Thx!
You strapped the mattress halfway across the country? Didn’t it rain?
i know its pushing it but do you think we can squeeze in a cal king mattress diagonally?
So awesome thank you 😊
I’m moving back to Vermont on the 30th😅 Born and raised in orleans county.

I have the below stuff
1. Sectional Sofa (38"H x 116"W x 71"D)
2. 1 Twin mattress, box spring and steel frameset.
3. 1 Queen mattress, box spring and steel frameset.
4. Luggage bags
Can you suggest to me whether 5X8 or 6x12?
