    I'm watching this in all the wrong order... but then I managed to cope with Star Wars...
    Amazing start to the trip - and an eye-opener as to how recently you got the bike licence! I'm guessing you might have had some dirt bike experience as a young 'un though?
    It's a cool story, about you, your partner in this adventure and about the adventure itself.
    It'll probably take me weeks to watch it all but it took you years to make, so I rest my case, haha!
    I'm looking forward to it - Great stuff mate.

      CaptainCranky thanks for the comment, yes it did take me years to get around to making. Didn’t have much experience riding motorbikes when I was young. When I rode I always loved it but my parents were dead against bikes. Now I’ve had nearly 4 years riding and the skill level has improved immensely.

    Hey mate great video, any chance you could provide a map of the road especially the dirt roads you took from Adelaide to Alice Springs via Ayers Rock?

    • @MileMunchinAdventures
      @MileMunchinAdventures  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can try I didn't keep a close track of the road from Adelaide to Burra, it was all bitumen. After Burra to Alice Springs is easy to supply, how can I get images to you?

    Really enjoyed, want to ask what tyres you used and if you changed the gearing on the DRZ or kept as stock?

    • @MileMunchinAdventures
      @MileMunchinAdventures  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used Mitas Stoneking for the rear on the way up to Alice Springs. Great tyre on the dirt, very aggressive knobby. Got about 3,500 to 4,000 kms out of them, the bitumen wears them down very quickly. For the trip back I changed to Dunlop D606, this is a better tyre for the bitumen and works really well on the dirt. I rode that home and had enough tread to ride around for another 1,000 kms. The front tyre was Mitas Dakar from memory. It lasted the 7,500km trip but did have a strange wear pattern. My sprocket set-up is 15 tooth on front and 44 on back, can cruise on 100km.
