It helps alot when I added silicone earplugs to center diff and geared it up to a 27or29 depending on outside temp or fan situation and stock system. We also learned that wd40 specialist penatrant on the arms help soften them up alot. I jump it with stock system 114ft with a 50ft drop all the time. It's a beast. Idk how people are always killing them lol. I have crash strait to arms and none plants going wide open and 50ft drop minimum
Like the 1/5 scale content! These things are so massive you have land good everytime. Small driving errors are costly! Been many years since I have run 1/5 scale. Content like this has motivated me to get mine back on the workbench and give it a rip!
Those landings are sooooo plush for such a big truck ...saw one at a hobby shop one time it is a massive vehicle for sure

Snag some rpm arms and never look back!!!!! I wish I would have discovered them sooner!!! Went through a few pairs of stock arms and several exb hinge pins with the stock arms! Rpm arms fixed both issues! Sending the outcast exb to the moon now!! Breaking about 79% less!! Gotta get the big boys landing on all 4’s!!

So glad to hear you say fairly early on that the K8s has not enough punch and not enough wheel speed. My feelings exactly but I'm sure you'll correct that soon enough with some gearing modifications. I don't have the 8s but have the 6s and that seems to have enough wheel speed to give it some control in the air. The best description I can think of for the 8s is "Numb" which is not how it should be as you go up in power and up in price. Look forward to seeing what you make of this beast.

My Arrma Mojave just came yesterday & when I took it out I was like man that thing is a beast but I think once I get it out that’s when I’ll find out how much of a beast it really is. I feel your pain though almost everytime I take out the bashers or fast RC’s I break something I’m just kind of used to it now but it still sucks. My Fireteam is down & I’ve been breaking shocks on my Losi Lasernut. The Lasernut has been a pain with multiple issues. I ve worked most of the issues out. But ya breakage is to common in my opinion especially after paying 500$ or more! RC companies need to do more testing before releasing them bottom line. But it won’t stop us from going’s out & breaking crap!
1/5 scale looks fun But no way could I walk home from the local parks trying to carry that beast. I had to make a backpack rig to carry my typhon around the city.

That is called an Arrma “ Tough Break “. The larger scale RC‘s are fun to watch when somebody else owns them. 1/10 scale is my limit. 16-17% greater chance of breaking. Hate to see the breakage love your content. 💯

Yes I have the SBR 👍as to why I said there's nothing like this Traxxas UDR. The scale between the two makes a difference where you can drive it. SBR loves to be OPENED UP on 8s I just feel there's never enough distance to fully appreciate it's size for my location
@@rcguygarage Ok thought so, i run my SBR on our fairly large dirt track (Loose dirt), made for 8th and 10th scale, i find it drives great on track, sliding around bends, and slams the rear suspension on the straight, just looks so realistic, loving it :)

Kraton 8s or Losi DBXl E? I’m torn!
Both are nice machines and they both have their drawbacks they're designed to do different things. For me at the moment I'm leaning towards dbxle 2.0 but the price tag on parts is where the Kraton will supersede it. I still need to figure out where this RC has its place. And I definitely do see its potential I have had my dbxle 2.0 for far longer so I understand it's characteristics and it's MINT BUT NOT PERFECT
