@@Leanor90 same… They literally release broken expansions that you have to pay 40 dollars for and in the end can’t even play it. I'm just happy he actually fixes glitches and does so quickly. I play both Sims and Pokemon, and in both those franchises it's common to see bugs linger from day one, and glitches taking months to be patched out, if ever! And in the case of Sims, some of these glitches would still persist, or even come back in later patches! And then there's the dark days where I used to play Yandere Simulator, where there were so many bug fixes (often on a daily basis) that the game would no longer load and i'd have to reinstall it from scratch! I gave up after the 4th time.
I think its because he doesnt want to force a "always online" like what some other games do for their hotfixes. A lot of games that "youre expected to be online for" have frequent hot fixes that apply when you connect to the internet. It allowed people to play with glitches a lot long than intended but it also locked people into glitches if they dont have reliable internet
I'm pretty sure CA said it himself one time, and all game devs can relate: "It's like you change one thing, and suddenly something completely unrelated breaks" Luckily for me, I've yet to move on to actual text code, just block code, (Both literally and on a minecraft server that uses blocks as text in it's own language, a neat way to bridge the gap between simple commands and more complex code), so all of my glitches are pretty self-contained.
I need the update where the walking in one direction glitch is fixed. It’s so annoying when sometimes I have to shift from windows boardless to window then shift back to get the glitch to stop.
this shows how fast they are to responding to bugs and glitches that isn't fun. also how fast the community finds and take their time to report the issue.
It's much easier to put patches out for PC than it is for console. PC is basically the guinea pig that is for seeing what bugs need to be fixed and once they're all ironed out, then it comes out to console. ConcernedApe said that these aren't gonna make the console update take longer.
don’t use big chests for valuable items. i couple people have said their stuff with disappear if they put it in a big chest. concerned ape is fixing the glitch though
I think we need to fix the mistakes a little more:) Yesterday I had a bug in the skull caves. On the floor where there were only monsters, the last monster was eaten by my frog. And because of this, the stairs to the next floor did not appear, I ran out of stones and stairs too. So I had to get out of the caves :( Today I cleaned a frog on such a floor and killed the last enemy myself - then everything works as it should.
He's trying to catch and fix as many bugs as possible so the people who don't have 1.6.6 on Console yet can play without any problems! Because updates and bug fixes on the consoles take longer to fix and are more of a problem. Concerned Ape is the goat.
Amazing how despite the many bugs SDV have after a certain update, the game is still functioning and running properly without frustrating the player, minus a crash (and that got quickly fixed), unlike yandere simulator which is still unfinished after 10 years of development and the game still has shitloads of bugs, glitches and crashes
It's normal to have bug fixes that often tbh. Especially, Stardew is an Indie game. Even games with big names do that too. Please don't make me remember that time I have to download 500MB patch like 3 times that day of a certain game... my internet is slow so it was PAINFUL 😫
I honestly appreciate it. Compared to the scarlet violet Fiasco. This is honestly refreshing. Having a game developer actually care about this game.I'm trying to fix it as soon as possible. Plus not having us pay for it. The game is like sixteen dollars on switch. And it's amazingly entertaining and well thought out.
Cause a team of one person making an entire game and testing an entire game is not the most efficient way to find and repair bugs. Hes still doing great compared to some AAA games though 😒 Honestly its amazing he managed to release it with so little bugs.

- and another bug is that it's still not in mobile or other consoles and we may have to wait 1 or 2 more years but it okay...
