I still got small children to take care of. when I pick up my guitar though it's an undescribable freedom I feel. when I pick it up I'm holding so much potential in my hands an it drives me to be better. I been doin hip hop since I was 8 but never thought to add an instrument. if u look on my channel I have a video of me playing and rapping at the same time. it's pretty dope for a begginer. it's to white stripes 7 nation army. I really appreciate you brother. your absolutely right though , this is like the worst best thing that couldve happen to me. Took the lemon and made lemonade. GOD IS SOOOO AWESOME DUDE!!!! Marty makes it easy to comprehend and he has a great personality. it's like I kno him already lol half the songs he does tutorials on I never heard until he gets me interested in playing it. From that day I thought if he ever come a 100 miles near I go see him, sadly less then a year later he died, RIP Chris.

Hey marty, my grandfather recently passed away and my favorite song to listen to with him was soulshine, i learned how to play the intro riff but i would really appreciate it if you took the time to teach the chords and solo. It would mean so much. Thanks.
I see this is kind of an bn old post but if ur still looking to learn this tune, Warren Haynes does "Soulshine" solo and it is VERY simple to learn this campfire-type version of his. It's just a G-D-C-G progression with an Em and F thrown in as the kinda turnaround at the end of the verses and chorus. Then, the bridge section is all the same chords in a lil different order and ya just add an Am or a Bm I think. To get in the original key of E, u will have to capo at the 3rd fret. Anyway, just a thought. I love that tune and it's a great tune to do with just a few friends or in front of a crowd. Good luck with it
